Sunday Greyhounds Tips: Follow the Stars at Pelaw

Two from three last night at Doncaster with Droopys Typical and Archies Gamble both winning in impressive fashion. Today, we head to Star Pelaw with three selections on an ultra-competitive eight-race graded card. At 18:46 look out for September 2024 youngster TOMMYS INA, who lines up from T1. The Glenn Foot-trained railer caught the eye on debut last week when showing plenty of pace, finishing fourth over course and distance in 27.16.

Tonight, if Tommys Ina traps in best fashion and holds the rails she can lead round and make all. On the bunny, she’s open to plenty of improvement and could well prove to be above this A5 grade. Bogger Cutie (T3) is a consistent performer over four and six bends; she’ll be staying on well looking to challenge off the final bend and could be worth including in forecast bets.

1 pt 19:04 Star Pelaw – Fruity Bets (T6) @ SP

At 19:04 in the A4 graded race over the four-bend 435-metre trip, all eyes will be on early paced wide seed FRUITY BETS in T6. The Daniel Bell-trained May 2024 daughter of Grangeview Ten bolted up back on February 1 when making all in 26.27. Since then, highly tried in A4 company and an open race, Fruity Bets has lost nothing in defeat and has run with credit.

Tonight, Fruity Bets has a chance to lead round. If she brings her trapping boots, the former Sunderland-based runner will be a couple clear at the corner and can kick for home off the second bend, then it's catch me if you can. Brynoffa Bee (T2) will be staying on well and rates as a danger. Popper Duke (T5) is pacey when he gets a chance to lead round and will be a huge runner with a smart exit from the boxes.

1 pt 20:16 Star Pelaw – Ma Darlin (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection this evening is MA DARLIN who runs from T1 in the A3 graded race at 20:16. The Carol Murray-trained railer looks plotted up with a vacant box in T2 and Caseys Oisin in T3 keeping middle to wide. Draws win races and Ma Darlin has a cracker to work from.

Trap well and the May 2023 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet can turn with the pace and hit the front out of the second bend and power clear of the chasing pack. Santas Bugatti (T5) is a sub-26 second performer when he gets it right at the boxes. A ping break would make him a huge runner this evening. Tot Trippett (T6) will be staying on well looking to pick up the pieces late on. The wide seed is worth including in forecast bets.
