All eyes on Doncaster this evening for an ultra-competitive card featuring ten open races. At 18:46 look out for youngster DROOPYS TYPICAL, who lines up from T1. The Susan Watson-trained August 2024 daughter of Droopys Got It has only run twice in her career so far, with a win and second-placed efforts back in December.

In recent weeks, the early-paced railer has returned to action with a sprint trial followed by two runs over this 450-metre trip, clocked in 28.01 and then 27.86 last time out. Tonight, in the Doncaster 450 Puppy Invitation open, Droopys Typical looks well-drawn to lead round and make all. Kennelmate Lead By Example rates as the main danger from T6. The solo wide seed in the race can chase the selection home and fill the forecast spot.

1 pt 19:42 Doncaster – Sole Focus (T2) @ SP

Heat three of the Doncaster Dual Distance at 19:42 can go to early-paced railer SOLE FOCUS who runs from T2. The Debbie Calvert-trained November 2023 son of Droopys Sydney is blessed with blistering early pace and looks well-drawn to lead round on the rails this evening. Once on the bunny, Sole Focus is a 27.50 type of performer over this course and distance, a repeat of that would make him very hard to beat.

The key to the race will be clearing Sheffield raider Sandwood Mover (T1) at lid rise. It's imperative that Sole Focus traps well and grab the rails pitch into the corner. Solo wide seed Foxwood Carter (T6) will be staying on well and can grab the forecast spot late on. Grantstown Cross (T3) has won two on the bounce at Star Pelaw and would be a huge runner if he brings his trapping boots to Doncaster.

1 pt 20:16 Doncaster – Archies Gamble (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection this evening is ARCHIES GAMBLE who runs from T1 in the Doncaster 275 Maiden open race at 20:16. The Samantha Lapidge-trained railer returned to action last week following a move from Towcester when trained with Frank Gray. Last week, on Doncaster debut, the September 2023 son of Ballymac Cashout was slow away plus met trouble at the first bend, a line can be put through that run.

Tonight, if Archies traps level and holds his pitch into the corner, he can take this race. The Rose Draper-trained Sheffield raider Crokers Darwin rates as a huge danger from T4. The April 2024 youngster has some smart graded form at his home track and would be a huge runner on Doncaster debut with a ping break. Droopys Freebie (T5) has some solid four-bend form on his card; he’s an interesting runner now dropped back in distance and is worth noting in the market.
