1 pt 15:11 Doncaster – Zari Sam (T3) @ SP

Three selections from Doncaster this afternoon on an ultra-competitive graded card at the Yorkshire venue. At 15:11 in the B5 graded race over the four-bend 450-metre trip, ZARI SAM looks well-drawn to turn with the pace and if that happens, he will prove hard to beat. Zari Sam returns to action this afternoon following a layoff from mid-December. Prior to the break, Zari Sam was running well in B4, so takes a drop-in class today.

The March 2023 son of Tullig Cyrname is a 28.30 type of performer when getting a clear run, a repeat of that would see him bolt up in this grade. Fagans Petunia (T1) is a consistent performer over course and distance; she would be a danger to all with a level break. Posh Scart was a beaten 6/5 favourite last time out and will be looking to make amends from T6.

1 pt 16:07 Doncaster – Gotacrushonyou (T6) @ SP

The B2 graded race at 16:07 can go to GOTACRUSHONYOU from T6. Although drawn a little wider than normal, this draw could work in favour of the James Gaskin-trained runner. The May 2023 daughter of Droopys Sydney was off the track from late October until early January and has now run four times over this 450-metre trip in recent weeks and will be spot on and fully race fit.

Last time out, Gotacrushonyou led round when drawn in trap five and make all in 27.93 following a smart 2.21 sectional. With further improvement likely, she looks a solid bet this afternoon. As ever, the key to the race will be the break, trap well and its race on. Odins Prince is a consistent B2 performer and could attract support from a rails draw in T1. Redbrick Milner (T4) is three from nine in the grade and is another in with a chance.

1 pt 17:03 Doncaster – Redbrick Luna (T6) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster this afternoon is well-drawn wide seed REDBRICK LUNA, who lines up from T6 in the B3 graded race at 17:03. The James Gaskin-trained January 2023 daughter of Droopys Addition is two from six in the grade and with a level break and clear run she can add to that solid strike rate. The key to the race is clearing kennelmate Redbrick Beckham (T5) at lid rise.

It’s imperative that Luna traps well and turns with the pace, do that and she can hit the front down the back straight. Baytown Barbie (T2) will appreciate the ease in grade following seven unsuccessful runs in B2 company, she’s in with a live chance, especially if clearing Vinegarhill Kurn (T1) at lid rise. August Buck (T3) was a beaten 4/5 favourite in early January and then beaten again at 5/4 a week later. The Shaun Birks-trained railer is more than capable of taking this and market support should be noted.
