1 pt 19:33 Romford – False Strap (T5) @ SP
Two from three yesterday at Suffolk Downs with Westfield Forno and Rapido Ramona both winning well. Tonight, it's all eyes on the London Road circuit, Romford, with twelve races taking place in front of what should be a packed-out crowd. At 19:33 in heat one of the JR Racing Puppy Cup, look out for Tony Dean-trained middle seed FALSE STRAP, who is making his competitive debut this evening.
A recent 24.13 solo trial reads well and, with further improvement possible from the July 2024 son of Dromana Bucko, he's worth a small play from what looks like a plot draw. The Paul Young-trained duo Lesleys Buddy (T1) and Vahbelle (T2) are both quick into the corner and could hamper each other, plus Monmore raider Anglesey Milo (T4) will be edging towards the rails from a wider-than-ideal draw as could Pavilion Hoggie from T3.

1 pt 20:13 Romford – Gav Nificent (T2) @ SP
Heat three of the JR Racing Puppy Cup at 20:13 can go to the Paul Young flying machine GAV NIFICENT who runs from T2. The September 2024 son of Droopys Addition bolted up over course and distance last week, clocking 23.80 following a smart 3.70 sectional on what was only his third ever run. The lightly raced youngster looks the ideal Romford type with blistering early pace and huge middle gears that could see him skip clear and then hold off any late challengers.
The key this evening is the break and run into the corner. It's imperative that Gav Nificent clears King Floyd (T1) at lid rise and gets on the bunny. Headford Lily rates as the main danger from T5. An impressive winner last time out in 24.02, Lily has the early pace to challenge and would be a danger to all with a ping break. The Maxine Locke-trained debutant Annadown Wendy (T4) is worth nothing in the market. Last week’s 24.16 trial reads well and if the pup takes another step forward, she could get involved in what looks like a very hot puppy race.

1 pt 20:33 Romford – Inca Lewie (T5) @ SP
The third and final selection from Romford this evening is Monmore raider INCA LEWIE who runs from T5 in the Happy Birthday Debbie Hurlock Stayers open race at 20:33 over the six-bend 575-metre trip. Highly tried in recent weeks, running against the likes of Tiffield Tarquin and Izzys Tenpin, this represents a slight ease in grade and one the Nathan Hunt-trained middle seed can take advantage of.
On the bunny, Lewie is capable of clocking around the 35.11 mark, a repeat of that would make him very hard to beat. Yourself (T4) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets. Capel Moon (T2) is a class act when she gets it right at the boxes and would be a huge runner if she cleared Full Monty (T1) at lid rise.
