Sunday Greyhound Tips: Will the hot streak continue?

After going three-for-three from Doncaster yesterday, our resident greyhounds tipster Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle on X) is back with three more tips for your reading pleasure, all of which come from Star Pelaw.

Today's Greyhound Odds

1 pt 18:29 Star Pelaw – Birtley Hoopstar (T2) @ SP

Three from three at Doncaster last night with Tommys Dolly (3/1), Swift Jeromo (11/10) and Rapido Ana (4/1) all winning. Today, we head to Star Pelaw with three selections on an ultra-competitive card. At 18:29 look out for well-drawn railer BIRTLEY HOOPSTAR from T2.

The Stuart Tighe-trained June 2023 daughter of Ballyhimikin Jet is three from three in this D1 grade and, with a smart exit from the boxes, she can lead round and make all to land another over this two-bend 245-metre trip. As ever over the sprint trip, it's all eyes on the boxes.

Hoopstar needs to clear Killieford Hanna (T1) at lid rise and grab the rails, do that, and she will prove hard to beat. Marymour Joy (T5) can chase the selection home and fill the forecast spot.

1 pt 19:04 Star Pelaw – Twistablindeye (T3) @ SP

The A6 graded race at 19:04 can go to TWISTABLINDEYE, who lines up from T3. The Michelle Dobson-trained railer is in fine form at the moment with three seconds on the bounce in recent weeks, including two over this four-bend 435-metre trip.

Tonight, in a race lacking early pace, Twistablindeye can get a soft lead and kick for home off the second bend. Once on the bunny, the July 2023 daughter of Blame The Game is a 26.50 performer, a repeat of that should see her take this.

Kranky Jackie (T1) and John The Joiner (T6) will both be staying on well and can fight it out for the forecast spot. Dyno Bluebelle (T5) has dropped through the grades in recent weeks and is worth noting in the market.

1 pt 19:24 Star Pelaw – Monraud Spark (T3) @ SP

Next up at Star Pelaw is MONRAUD SPARK who runs from T3 in the A8 graded race at 19:24 over the four-bend 435-metre trip at the northeast venue. Monraud Spark, trained by Colin Dibb, has only run five times at Star Pelaw following a move from Harlow. Although well-beaten in recent A8 races, the form lines don’t tell the full story and the October 2020 veteran is yet to show his best form.

Tonight, in a race lacking early pace, Monraud Spark has a chance to lead round. On the bunny, she can take a marked step forward on the clock and take this race. Caseys Ferret rates as the danger from T4. She’s another who has recently moved to the track and is worth noting in the market. Caseys Duffy (T2) will be staying on well and would be a danger to all if within striking distance off the final bend.
