The Stags are winless in their last three as momentum has started to drop off for the newly promoted side. Read on for my Wycombe Wanderers vs Mansfield Town prediction, including match odds and team news.

Team News

Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield has a fit squad to choose from on Tuesday, which will no doubt have correlated to their emphatic form. He is likely to field a similar XI to the one that won at Lincoln last time out.

Top scorer Kone will lead the line, and he'll most likely be supported by Dan Udoh, Fred Onyedinma and Cameron Humphreys. Luke Leahy and Aaron Morley are set to continue in the engine room, while Dan Harvie and Jasper Pattenden provide support as the full-backs.

Mansfield goalkeeper Christy Pym was able to shake off an injury scare to feature against Bristol Rovers last time out. Stephen McLaughlin also returned to the lineup after missing the Wrexham loss due to hamstring and back tightness, but Rhys Oates is still recovering from a knee injury and is not expected back for this one.

Veteran midfielder Stephen Quinn looks set to continue in the middle of the park, likely alongside Keanu Baccus and Louis Reed. Nigel Clough has deployed loyal servant Lucas Akins in a variety of positions this season, and he has recently been featuring up front to partner Will Evans - which we could see again in Buckinghamshire.

Wycombe Wanderers to win @ 8/15

The Chairboys are flying in League 1 right now and seven wins on the bounce cannot be ignored. They are the best-performing side in the division right now and they are having a ball while other teams vying for promotion are struggling for wins - like my beloved Birmingham City.

As much as I'd love Wycombe's momentum to be dented here, I just can't see it happening. The team are well-drilled and are high on confidence right now, while their visitors are not.

Apart from losing 3-2 to Birmingham at Adams Park back in August (their last defeat), Wycombe have won all of their other five clashes at home, which have all come in succession, so I think that it would take an extraordinary Mansfield performance to deny them another three points.

The Chairboys are the top scorers in the league with 35 goals so far. They are frequently finding the back of the net, with their attacking quartet dazzling on a weekly basis currently. Kone is proving to be one of the hottest young forwards in the EFL with his nine goals and performances to match so far, then Onyedinma has notched five for himself in the third tier.

I think they will have too much for the Stags to handle on Tuesday. I have to go with another win for Bloomfield's men. It's been so long since they've lost a league game that you feel like one could be in the pipeline in the not so distant future. I don't think Tuesday will be that day, however.

Richard Kone anytime goalscorer @ 5/4

With nine goals already, Kone is playing his part in this incredible promotion push from the Chairboys. The Wycombe striker is giving excellent performances consistently and fans will be delighted that he has just been given a contract extension because there is no doubt that his form would have been gaining a lot of unwanted attention from rival clubs.

The new deal inspired another goal for him at the weekend at Lincoln and he now has three in as many games in League 1. I'm backing him to add to his tally on Tuesday against a frail Mansfield side because he is full of confidence at the minute and is unquestionably one of the best centre-forwards in the division.
