Third-place Wrexham entertain fourth-place Mansfield Town at SToK Cae Ras in League 1 on Saturday (12:30, Sky Sports+) in what should be a cracking affair. The Red Dragons are unbeaten in their last four matches in the third tier but have drawn their last two.

The Stags are unbeaten in their last two league appearances, and they earned a valuable point from behind against Birmingham City last time out. Read on for my Wrexham vs Mansfield Town prediction, including match odds and team news.

Wrexham vs Mansfield Town Betting Tips

Wrexham vs Mansfield Town Odds

Wrexham are 8/11, or a 57.9% chance, to win this match. Mansfield are valued at 18/5, giving them an implied probability of 21.7%. The draw can be backed at 11/4 (26.7%).

Both teams to score is available at 8/11 and over 2.5 goals is marketed at the same odds.

Mansfield striker Lee Gregory has seven goals in the league this season, and he is 13/5 to score anytime on Saturday. His strike partner Will Evans has scored five in the third tier, and he is 11/4 to strike anytime.

Wrexham's Elliot Lee has four for himself, and he is 5/2 to find the back of the net.

Team News

Wrexham are without the services of top scorer Jack Marriott and George Evans due to leg and ankle injuries respectively. Forward Steven Fletcher has also been absent for the last three matches in all competitions due to a knee issue, so he remains a doubt for the weekend.

Lee, George Dobson and Ollie Rathbone should continue in midfield for this one, while it is hard to see boss Phil Parkinson changing his front two of Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer.

Mullin has come under some scrutiny by rival fans in the past week for his lack of goals so far but he's had injury issues which have impacted his start to the campaign. He may just have the one goal in the league so far but his importance to the team stretches further than just his goals.

Mansfield have no fresh injury concerns heading into Saturday, and Nigel Clough could opt to name a similar team to the one that held Birmingham to a point two weeks ago.

The Stags will match the hosts' front two with Gregory and Evans, and it is this battle that could wind up being the difference in this contest. Aaron Lewis should continue playing just behind the two, while Hiram Boateng will be eager to return to the double pivot in midfield.

Lucas Akins had to settle for a spot on the bench against the Blues, so he will be hoping for a return to the starting XI in north Wales.

Draw @ 11/4

There is very little to separate these two teams heading into the weekend. There is only one point between them in the table and both have won the same amount of matches (seven).

Even their goal tallies are similar, with Wrexham scoring 21 to Mansfield's 20. With the way that both of these newly-promoted sides have started the season, they have gained some strong promotion credentials which will be boosted by defeating a rival.

Wrexham are perceived as the clear favourites for this match at 8/11, yet I feel this is underestimating the Stags. Clough has arguably been the manager of the season so far because of what he and his players have achieved in the first couple of months, and this is emphasised as they became just the the third team to take points off promotion favourites Birmingham.

I am confident that they can get a result, here, but not too much that I would back them to come away with the three points. This is because Wrexham have won five of their six home games in League 1 this term, so that form is going to be difficult to stop on Saturday.

That being said, Mansfield have picked up four wins on the road out of a possible five this season, which is one more victory than they have managed at home in 2024/25.

With that in mind, I think the two record could end up cancelling each other out at the Racecourse Ground, delivering another stalemate for these two in-form sides.

Both teams to score @ 8/11

However, I don't think it will be a dull affair by any means. With the quality on offer on both sides, and the amount of goals they have managed this year already, I think we will be treated to a few goals this weekend.

That's why I think it is worth backing both teams to score here. BTTS has been a winning selection in three of Wrexham's six home games this season, while there have been goals at both ends in three of Mansfield's five matches on the road.

Both teams are blessed with players who are scoring goals regularly. For Wrexham right now it is Lee in Marriott's absence, but this could be an excellent opportunity for front man Mullin to get into his familiar goalscoring rhythm that has served his club so well over the past few years.

Mansfield's attacking duo of Gregory and Evans have been scoring regularly, so they will pose a huge threat to the hosts' back line, and I won't be surprised if one of them adds to their tallies on Saturday.
