Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Crystal Palace to Molineux in the Premier League on Saturday (17:30, Sky Sports Main Event), looking to build on their hard-fought draw against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. The Old Gold scored two late goals to salvage a point, but they still await their first win of the season.

Palace earned their first win against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, and followed this up with a victory over Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Below I have put together my Wolves vs Crystal Palace bet builder tips, which pays out at an enticing 17/2.

Wolves vs Crystal Palace Bet Builder Tips

  • Wolves or draw
  • Under 3.5 goals
  • Both teams to score
  • Matheus Cunha anytime goalscorer

Wolves vs Crystal Palace Odds

Wolves or draw

Momentum may be with the visitors after the week they have just had, but they are coming up against a side who have been struggling like they have, desperate to pick up three points.

Wolves showed some much-needed fight to salvage a draw against the Seagulls, to pick up just their second point of the season. Boss Gary O'Neil remains under pressure from both his employers and the fans because they need to start winning games soon.

The supporters will be fired up for this crunch clash with the Eagles at Molineux, and they can play their part in helping their team get a result. Palace have managed just one point away from home this season, and while they sense they can pick up more against Wolves, the hosts will be buoyed by last week's comeback.

I fancy them to dig deep and get another result here, but I'm not confident enough to back them to win. Palace have scored just six times in the league, so that has played into my thinking ahead of this six-pointer.

Under 3.5 goals

As you can imagine, Palace have not been involved in many goal-fests this season, with just one of their clashes producing four goals. All of their away games have been under 3.5 goals, so I fancy this trend to continue in the West Midlands.

Three of Wolves' home matches in the Premier League have seen less than four goals scored. I think there will be goals in this match, but it is very hard to imagine these two sides delivering an abundance given their struggles this season.

Palace have work to do to improve their goal return, and as much as Wolves have been poor defensively this season, they will relish the chance to face a side who have found goals hard to come by on Saturday.

Football Odds

Both teams to score

With Wolves boasting the worst defensive record in the top-flight with 25 goals conceded, there is always the increased chance of both teams to score landing in their matches. It has in fact been a winning selection in eight of their nine league fixtures in 2024/25, including all four of their games at Molineux.

Palace will head here with that knowledge, as well as the fact that they have won their last two matches in all competitions, including one which saw both teams find the back of the net. The Eagles have seen BTTS land in four of their nine matches this season, but three of them have come on the road, so this bodes well for goals at both ends in Wolverhampton.

Oliver Glasner's side certainly need to improve their attacking output, and you have to fancy them to score against the current worst back line in the division for goals conceded. They have attacking players who are no strangers to scoring either, in the likes of Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Matheus Cunha anytime goalscorer

I'm going for a goalscorer in this clash, but it is not for the visitors. I'm backing Wolves striker Matheus Cunha to get on the scoresheet on Saturday. The Brazilian has scored four goals in nine appearances and it was his 93rd-minute strike that sealed his side a point at Brighton last weekend.

Cunha now has three in his last five Premier League appearances, and he will be desperate to start putting a more consistent run of goals together. I think there is an opportunity for him to score in successive league games for the first time this year against Palace, who have been finding their away fixtures tricky thus far.

He has a good record against the visitors, with two goals in three Premier League appearances, so they will know all too well the threat he will possess on Saturday evening. With that in mind, I think there is value in backing him to score given that he has fared well against them in the past.

Halloween may be over, but I think Cunha will come back to haunt Crystal Palace this weekend.
