Wolves vs brighton

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to continue their strong end to the Premier League campaign when they welcome European-chasing Brighton & Hove Albion to Molineux on Saturday afternoon (15:00).

The visitors earned a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United last weekend, while Wolves' magnificent winning run came to an end at the hands of Manchester City. Read on for my Wolves vs Brighton predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Jorgen Strand Larsen missed out on the defeat to City due to a minor groin issue but should be fit enough to return on Saturday. His return means that Matheus Cunha will drop into one of the number 10 positions, after leading the line last weekend.

Marshall Munetsi looks set to start in attack alongside Cunha and Larsen, while Pablo Sarabia, Goncalo Guedes and Rodrigo Gomes could feature against the Seagulls.

Sasa Kalajdzic, Enso Gonzalez, Leon Chiwone, Sam Johnstone and Yerson Mosquera all remain out of contention here.

Wolves vs Brighton Stats

  • Wolves' defeat to Manchester City last week ended a six-game winning run
  • Brighton have won just one of their last eight matches across all competitions

As for Brighton, Kaoru Mitoma could make his return to the starting XI after being ruled out of the draw with Newcastle with a heel problem.

Solly March is hoping to recover from a knee injury in time for the trip to Molineux, but James Milner is sidelined with a thigh injury, while Georginio Rutter and Ferdi Kadioglu are both on the treatment table with ankle issues.

Wolves vs Brighton Odds

Wolves are 7/4 to claim all three points, giving them an implied win probability of 36.4%, and the draw can be backed at 5/2, with a Brighton win currently priced up at 8/5.

Cunha leads the anytime goalscorer market at 7/5, hoping to add to his 15 goals this season, while Danny Welbeck is shortest-priced for the visitors at 2/1, who is just one strike away from reaching 10 goals in a Premier League season for the first time.

Wolves to win @ 7/4

Vitor Pereira has overseen drastic changes at Wolves since he stepped into the dugout at Molineux and now there is genuine optimism and excitement of where the club can go next season.

The 56-year-old has steered the club away from the threat of relegation, and although last weekend's defeat to Man City ended a six-game winning run, I fancy Wolves to get back to winning ways against a stumbling Brighton side that are in pursuit of European football.

Away form has been a concern of late for the Seagulls, who drew 2-2 at Manchester City before suffering defeats at Crystal Palace (2-1) and Brentford (4-2).

The hosts have won their last three home assignments, so I'm backing them to get back in the win column this weekend.

Jorgen Strand Larsen to score anytime @ 15/8

Larsen's presence was sorely missed against City but the Norwegian is expected to recover from injury to play on Saturday and he could have a big impact on this game, in my opinion.

The 25-year-old started off slowly at Molineux following his loan from Celta Vigo, but his goals in the past few weeks have been invaluable, with six goals in his last six outings - taking his tally to 13 for the season - helping his side move up the table.

At 15/8, he looks a decent price to score anytime on Saturday afternoon.
