Sheffield United will be looking to bounce back from a humiliating 8-0 defeat to Newcastle United, when they travel to the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15:00) to take on West Ham United.

The Hammers have won their last two matches against Sheffield United, while the Blades have not won in any of their last seven matches.

West Ham vs Sheff Utd Prediction

  • West Ham to win and both teams to score @ 15/8
  • Lucas Paqueta to score anytime @ 12/5

Team News

West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell is still a doubt with a hamstring problem, but apart from that, the Hammers have no real injury concerns.

As for the visitors, they will welcome back Ollie McBurnie from suspension but Max Lowe, Ben Osborn, John Fleck, Rhian Brewster, Danile Jebbison and Rhys Norrington-Davies are all out injured.

William Osula and George Baldock will undergo late fitness tests but Paul Heckingbottom may be tempted to make several changes to the side that was hammered last week.

West Ham to win and both teams to score @ 15/8

It’s hard to see the Blades getting a result here but I am expecting a response from Paul Heckingbottom’s side, which could result in plenty of goals at the London Stadium.

Both teams have scored in all six of West Ham’s league fixtures and they have just one clean sheet in their last 10 home games stretching back to last season.

Sheffield United have scored in four of their six league fixtures, including both of their away outings, so I’m backing a win for the Hammers with goals at both ends.

Lucas Paqueta to score anytime @ 12/5

The 26-year-old has one goal and one assist to his name so far in the Premier League and is a decent outside pick to score on Saturday, in my opinion.

The Brazilian has looked impressive, even in the 3-1 defeats to Liverpool and Manchester City and was totally rested against Lincoln in midweek, so I’m expecting him to come out firing here.

I think Sheffield United will try to sit back and keep things tight defensively, so the Hammers will look to dominate possession, which is where Paqueta can thrive.
