West Ham vs Olympiakos Prediction: Bowen can gain revenge over Greeks
The Europa League group stages continue on Thursday and in Group A, West Ham host Olympiakos at the London Stadium (20:00). We've previewed this one and given you our betting predictions.
West Ham vs Olympiakos Betting Tips
West Ham have struggled with their form recently, winning just one of their last six in all competitions (against Arsenal in the League Cup), but can take big strides towards qualifying from Group A with a win at home here.
The Hammers sit level on points and goal difference with table-toppers Freiburg and are looking to gain revenge over Olympiakos, after losing 2-1 in Athens last time out.
Diego Martinez's side have lost two of their last three Super League games and have slipped behind their fierce city-rivals Panathanaikos at the top of the table. They now have to pick up some more points against David Moyes' outfit to keep their Europa League knockout qualification hopes intact.
Team news
Moyes has a virtually full squad at his disposal, with only Kurt Zouma doubtful for Thursday.
Central defender Nicolas Freire is absent for the Greek side through injury.
Match odds
Betfred make West Ham the 4/6 favourites for this Group A clash, with the visitors unfancied at 18/5. The stalemate is slightly shorter at 16/5.
Goals look on the cards, with over 2.5 goals as short as 4/7, whilst both teams to score also looks likely, again at 4/7.
West Ham to win and Both Teams to Score - 15/8
The Hammers haven't kept a clean sheet since the end of September and have shown defensive frailties, in losing four of their last five matches.
However, they have only lost one of their last 17 European games, ironically to Olympiakos in their last game and should have too much for the Greek side at home.
Jarrod Bowen first goal scorer - 5/1
Bowen is the Hammers leading scorer this season, with seven goals in the Premier League and is now firmly established as David Moyes' most reliable goal scorer.
The 26-year-old has three goals in his last five games and tends to score goals in bunches.
Betfred are also running their famed Double Delight / Hat-Trick Heaven offer on this match, meaning that if Bowen scores first and then nets again, you will be paid at double the odds (10/1). If he grabs a hat-trick, you will be paid out at a whopping 15/1!
