West Ham United will welcome Manchester United to the London Stadium, in Saturday's early kickoff (12:30) in the Premier League.

The Hammers are looking to redeem themselves after being hit for five in midweek against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, while Manchester United come into this game eager to build on the clean sheet they secured at Anfield last weekend.

West Ham United vs Manchester United Prediction

  • Manchester United to win and both teams to score @ 16/5
  • Jarrod Bowen to score anytime @ 15/8

Team News

The likes of Kurt Zouma and Lucas Paqueta were rested in midweek meaning they should come back into the starting XI on Saturday, while Michail Antonio remains the only injury worry for the Hammers but Nayef Aguerd and Maxwel Cornet are suffering from illness.

As for United, Diogo Dalot is suspended after his dismissal at Anfield last week, but Bruno Fernandes returns from his ban, while Victor Lindelof could return to help out at the back.

Anthony Martial has missed the last two games through illness, while Harry Maguire, Mason Mount, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez all remain on the treatment table.

Match Odds

West Ham are 8/5 to secure the three points, while Man Utd are 6/4 to take the points back to the North West, and the draw is 13/5.

Rasmus Hojlund, who is still looking for his first Premier League goal, is favourite to score anytime at 9/5, and he's 5/1 to open the scoring, and 6s to be the last goalscorer.

Manchester United to win and both teams to score @ 16/5

Perhaps this is my blind optimism as a fan kicking in, but I do believe that Erik ten Hag's side can win this game.

I can't think of a game this season where United have been excellent for 90 minutes - they've shown glimpses here and there, but I thought that they made life difficult for Liverpool last week, in a game where everybody (including myself) thought they would get comfortably beaten.

Whilst a point and a clean sheet at Anfield is a pleasing result, I think it's imperative that the Red Devils use that result to kick on from here. I still don't fully trust that backline of United's and West Ham certainly have weapons at their disposal that can hurt Ten Hag's side, so that covers the 'both teams to score' part of the bet.

The reason I fancy United to win is that Bruno Fernandes should return to the side after serving his suspension for accumulation of yellow cards, and he makes the visitors tick. In addition, the result last weekend could serve as a catalyst for Ten Hag's men to turn the season around after a dismal start to the campaign.

Jarrod Bowen to score anytime @ 15/8

The 27-year-old, along with Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus, are the weapons that I've alluded to above, who can really hurt United on Saturday.

I'm going to focus on Bowen as he's enjoying an excellent campaign so far, scoring 12 goals in 22 appearances for the Hammers across all competitions.

He scored against Wolves in last weekend's 3-0 victory and he followed that up with a sublime consolation goal in the hammering at Anfield, so at 15/8, I think he's a good shout to score anytime here.
