West Ham Luton prediction betting tips Premier League 11 May 2024

West Ham United take on Luton Town at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday (15:00), with the Hatters desperate for a win to strengthen their survival hopes. Rob Edwards' side are three points behind Nottingham Forest with two games to go and they need to take maximum points here if they are to have any chance of staying up.

The Hammers have announced that they will be parting ways with manager David Moyes in the summer and their end to the season isn't bringing much joy either. Neither side is in great form heading into this but I've had a go at calling it by detailing my West Ham vs Luton predictions below.

West Ham vs Luton Betting Tips

  • Draw or Luton and both teams to score @ 8/5
  • Elijah Adebayo anytime goalscorer @ 13/8

Match Odds

West Ham are 5/6, or a 54.5% chance, to take the three points here. Luton are priced at 11/4, which gives them an implied probability of 26.7%. The draw can be backed at 16/5 (23.8%).

Both teams to score has been a winning selection in 81% (29/36) of the Hatters' matches this term and it is 2/5 to deliver this weekend. Over 2.5 goals is also marketed at 2/5.

Hammers attacker Jarrod Bowen has scored 16 goals in the Premier League this season and he is valued at 6/5 to score anytime on Saturday. Luton striker Carlton Morris has netted 10 himself and he is priced at 15/8 to find the back of the net at any stage during this clash.

Team News

West Ham could welcome back defender Konstantinos Mavropanos to the squad for the visit of Luton, with the centre-back having been out of action since the middle of April. Fellow defender Nayef Aguerd is unlikely to be available for this contest as he recovers from his own injury.

Luton are set to be without Tom Lockyer, Issa Kabore, Marvelous Nakamba, Jacob Brown, Dan Potts, Chiedozie Ogbene and Amari'i Bell due to injury.

Draw or Luton and both teams to score @ 8/5

There is no exaggerating the importance of this game for Luton. They are three points from safety but their goal difference is worse than Forest's, which essentially serves as an extra point.

With that in mind, they have to win this game to give themselves the best chance of survival heading into the final day. It will be a tough ask given the amount of injuries they have but West Ham have also been in poor form and the Hatters might be presented with an excellent opportunity.

There have been times in the past this season where I have backed Luton to win but they have let me down, so now I like to give myself insurance when backing them and that is why I have gone with double chance here.

They need the points more than West Ham do but the Hammers still have the quality in attack to hurt Luton, which is why I can also envisage a stalemate here. I boosted the odds with BTTS because as mentioned above it has landed in most of the Hatters' matches this season and I don't expect this fixture to disappoint on that front.

Draw or Luton and both teams to score at 8/5 Elijah Adebayo anytime goalscorer @ 13/8

Luton attacker Elijah Adebayo returned to the team from a two-month injury absence at Everton last week and showed his side what they were missing as he netted the equaliser at Goodison Park.

The towering striker has proven to be quite a nuisance for Premier League defences this term and I believe he can wreak havoc on a deflated Hammers back line that has shipped 70 goals this year. Like his strike partner Morris, Adebayo has scored 10 times in the top-flight this campaign and I fancy his chances to edge ahead of his teammate on Saturday.
