Weekend Premier League Predictions: Newcastle to have another free-scoring performance

The weekend is upon us, which means that I am back to present my tips for the Premier League matches in store. Disappointingly, last week's predictions were not as fruitful as I had hoped, with just one of my four selections coming in.

I'm still searching for a clean sweep and I hope this will be the week that it can happen. Below I have detailed my weekend Premier League predictions, ranging from goalscorers, results and team goals.

Weekend Premier League Tips

  • Kai Havertz anytime goalscorer in Arsenal vs AFC Bournemouth @ 11/10
  • Over 2.5 Newcastle United goals against Burnley @ 9/4
  • Aston Villa to beat Brighton & Hove Albion @ 5/4
  • Cole Palmer to score 2+ goals in Chelsea vs West Ham United @ 9/2

Kai Havertz anytime goalscorer in Arsenal vs AFC Bournemouth @ 11/10

Kai Havertz has been changing people's perception of him this season with some impressive performances for Arsenal and the former Chelsea man has netted 12 goals in the league so far, which is a career best for the German international in the top-flight.

The attacker has had such a positive impact for the Gunners when deployed in the middle of their front three and he has been in excellent form of late with three goals in his last two outings against rivals Tottenham Hotspur and his former employers Chelsea.

Up next for him is Bournemouth, whom he has already scored against this campaign. I think Havertz is going to be in for some more joy in front of goal this weekend as the Gunners seek to keep up momentum in the title race.

Kai Havertz anytime goalscorer at 11/10 Over 2.5 Newcastle United goals against Burnley @ 9/4

After putting five goals past Sheffield United last weekend, I'm expecting Newcastle United to have another fruitful afternoon in front of goal against Burnley.

The Magpies have scored at least three goals in 12 of their 34 matches in the Premier League this term, and against a Clarets side scrambling for survival, I think the likes of Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon can have a profitable afternoon at Turf Moor.

Over 2.5 Newcastle goals at 9/4 Aston Villa to beat Brighton & Hove Albion @ 5/4

Aston Villa's chances of finishing fourth and qualifying for next year's Champions League strengthen with each passing game. The Villans are seven points ahead of Tottenham with three left to play and a victory at Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend would take them a massive step closer to their goal.

The Seagulls have been consistently inconsistent this year and have been nowhere near as entertaining as they were last season. They have failed to win in their last six in the league, while Villa are unbeaten in their last four, picking up two wins along the way.

Unai Emery's side are in their final push to bring Champions League football to Villa Park and I can see them beating Brighton with ease on Sunday.

Aston Villa to win at 5/4 Cole Palmer to score 2+ goals in Chelsea vs West Ham United @ 9/2

I reckon that I must sound like a broken record for saying that Cole Palmer is most likely the signing of the season in the Premier League. The Chelsea attacker has been a bright spark in a gloomy season for the Blues, and the Manchester City academy graduate has scored 20 goals in the league so far, with only Erling Haaland having scored more (21).

As it is becoming more of an expectancy for Palmer to score every week, I have found better value in backing him to score at least twice against West Ham United this weekend. The Hammer have been suspect at the back all season, conceding 65 goals, and there have already been four occasions this term in which Palmer has scored at least twice.

I believe that he can have another productive afternoon on Sunday at Stamford Bridge.
