The Premier League resumes this weekend, with some crunch clashes taking place across the division, meaning we're back with three bets for the upcoming matches.

Weekend Premier League Predictions and Best Bets

  • Manchester City to win and both teams to score vs Everton @ 8/5
  • First half to be highest-scoring half - Spurs vs Brighton @ 15/8
  • Manchester United to win vs Aston Villa @ 2/1

Treble pays 21.42/1

Manchester City to win and both teams to score vs Everton @ 8/5

Manchester City are now just two points behind league leaders Liverpool in the table as the title race heats up.

Pep Guardiola’s side beat Brentford 3-1 on Monday night and they're now seeking their 10th consecutive victory across all competitions. Meanwhile, Everton did well to salvage a point against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, but that stalemate marked their sixth-consecutive match without a win.

City have only kept one clean sheet in their past 12 Premier League outings, so Sean Dyche's men could get on the scoresheet on Saturday, but I can't see them picking up a positive result at the Etihad.

Man City to win and both teams to score at 8-5

First half to be highest-scoring half - Spurs vs Brighton @ 15/8

I'm looking forward to this clash, and I think there'll be plenty of goals early doors.

Spurs have scored in their last 35 league games, netting 73 goals in total. Meanwhile, Brighton have conceded 21 goals in their last nine away league games. In addition, Ange Postecoglou's side are fast starters, they’ve scored more goals (8) in the opening 15 minutes than any other Premier League side this term.

Brighton are the only side to beat Spurs recently in the league, winning the reverse fixture 4-2 after racing into a 4-0 lead, suggesting they may find some joy at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

First half to be highest scoring at 15-8

Manchester United to win vs Aston Villa @ 2/1

As a United fan, I'm still not entirely confident in backing Erik ten Hag's side, but I think 2/1 represent good value.

Both sides had morale-boosting wins last weekend as they continue to push for a top-four place, and Villa have been impressive in front of their own fans this term.

However, they suffered a shock defeat in their last home game as Newcastle cruised to a 3-1 win, and history is on United's side in this fixture (famous last words). The Red Devils have won 17 of their 28 Premier League games at Villa Park and are unbeaten in their last 24 top-flight games in February.

Rasmus Hojlund looks to have finally found his feet in the Premier League, scoring four in his last four, and although United's backline isn't watertight, I think they have enough to take all three points.

Man Utd to win at 2-1
