Weekend Premier League Predictions: Gunners to keep a third clean sheet in a row?

Another weekend of Premier League action is in store and we are hoping for some more crazy matches from the top-flight. This week, we will see a repeat of last month's exhilarating FA Cup quarter-final as Manchester United take on rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford. There is also a big clash towards the bottom of the table as Everton host Burnley.

We're back with our weekend Premier League predictions looking for a clean sweep after seeing three out of four land last weekend.

Weekend Premier League Tips

  • Both teams to score in Everton vs Burnley @ 8/11
  • Over 1.5 Newcastle goals in Fulham vs Newcastle United @ EVS
  • Arsenal to keep a clean sheet in Brighton & Hove Albion vs Arsenal @ 7/4
  • Both teams to score in Sheffield United vs Chelsea @ 8/13

Both teams to score in Everton vs Burnley @ 8/11

Thanks to some absurd defending by Newcastle United's Paul Dummett, Everton were able to salvage a draw at St James' Park from the penalty spot as Dominic Calvert-Lewin ended his goal drought.

The Toffees have an even bigger game this weekend as they welcome fellow strugglers Burnley to Goodison Park. Seven points separate the two teams heading into this one but the Clarets have at least managed to win one of their last five while the hosts have not.

BTTS has offered good value for both these teams in recent weeks. It has landed in four of Everton's last five in the top-flight, as well as in five of Burnley's last seven trips on the road. We think it is worth backing again.

Both teams to score at 8/11

Over 1.5 Newcastle goals in Fulham vs Newcastle United @ EVS

The Magpies will be frustrated with themselves for not coming away with three points and more goals in midweek, but we're backing them to bounce back at the weekend. A trip to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham awaits them, and it feels like a free hit.

Marco Silva's side have responded poorly to their 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur three games ago. They have since drawn 3-3 with bottom side Sheffield United, before losing 3-1 to Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Their defence is extremely fragile right now and Newcastle could be in line for a field day on Saturday as attacking stars Alexander Isak and Harvey Barnes head to the capital in good form. Isak has scored 15 times in the league this season and five of those have been scored in his last four appearances, netting in each one.

Barnes assisted the Sweden international in midweek after joining him in scoring a brace in the dramatic victory over West Ham United last weekend.

Arsenal to keep a clean sheet in Brighton & Hove Albion vs Arsenal @ 7/4

Arsenal are showing us just how important a strong defence can be in the race for the Premier League title. The Gunners kept a second consecutive clean sheet against Luton Town. It was their sixth clean sheet of 2024 and 13th of the season, to which no one has more.

As they head to the south coast this weekend to face Brighton & Hove Albion, we're inclined to back them to shut out the Seagulls. The centre-back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes is the best in the division, and the Seagulls failed to score at Brentford last time out, which makes this 7/4 price look more enticing.

Arsenal clean sheet at 7/4

Both teams to score in Sheffield United vs Chelsea @ 8/13

Sheffield seem destined to be playing Championship football next season, but they aren't going down without a fight. We've seen a lot of spirit from them in recent matches and Sunday should be no different.

They welcome a Chelsea side that continues to blow hot and cold to Bramall Lane, looking to build on their two recent draws with Fulham and AFC Bournemouth. We have already seen the Blues struggle against a bottom-three side in Burnley recently as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

We think they will be in for another tough afternoon here and in all honesty, we did look at the Sheffield United or draw market that was priced at 15/8.

Both teams to score at 8/13
