Villarreal vs Valencia Prediction

  • Villarreal to win and both teams to score @ 3/1
  • Over 2.5 Villarreal goals @ 7/2

Team news

Valencia have Hugo Guillamon ruled out due to a suspension and Mouctar Diakhaby is sidelined by injury.

Match Odds

Villarreal are 11/10 to pick up all three points, with visiting Valencia priced at 5/2, while the draw is available at 12/5.

The hosts have in-form forward Alexander Sorloth leading them on, with the Norwegian scoring six times across their last five.

He’s played a big part in Villarreal’s recent success and the forward heads into this clash priced at 7/5 to score anytime and maintain his great run of form.

Villarreal to win and both teams to score @ 3/1

Villarreal were dumped out of the Europa League on Thursday despite a 3-1 win over Marseille, but they’ll be hopeful of a speedy return to Europe.

The hosts head into this weekend having won four of their last five, while they’ve won three successive La Liga games.

The Yellow Submarine have won at Real Sociedad and beaten Real Betis in that run - two of the league’s top seven sides. That suggests they can handle a meeting with Valencia, especially as the visitors are poor on the road this term.

Los Che have lost seven of their 13 away trips in La Liga so far, including their last two on the road. They’ve also lost on four successive visits to Villarreal, dating back to 2020.

The hosts may be improved, but it remains a concern that they’ve kept only one home clean sheet in La Liga this season and despite Valencia’s struggles, they should be good for a goal from this trip, so look to Villarreal to win and concede at 3/1.

Villarreal to win and btts at 3-1

Over 2.5 Villarreal goals @ 7/2

The hosts’ have been free-scoring in this great recent run, finding the net at least three times in each of their last four wins. They’ve won 3-1 or 3-2 in three of those, so another 3-1 victory is worth considering at 16/1.

Villarreal have scored three or more goals in seven of their nine wins in the league this term and, with their impressive recent form considered, they can score another few goals this weekend.

The hosts to score three or more on Sunday is well priced at 7/2 when you consider their high-scoring victories this season, so back a few goals for the home side.

Over 2.5 goals Villarreal goals at 7-2
