At the time of writing, the hosts are six points above the drop zone and four places away from trouble while Parma are nervously looking over their shoulder.
Parma are only two points above 18th-placed Empoli, but they do have a game in hand on all the teams below them in the standings.
Verona ran out 3-2 winners in the first meeting between the two teams in December, but a low-scoring contest should be on the cards this time around.
Team News
Verona coach Paolo Zanetti has several injury woes to contend with as Martin Frese, Davide Faraoni, Abdou Harroui and Oumar Niasse are injured.
The good news is that Nicolas Valentini returns from a one-match ban and he should slot straight back into defence.
Verona vs Parma Stats
- Verona are looking to follow up on the 1-0 win over Udinese before the international break
- Parma are winless in eight away games
Parma duo Alessandro Vogliacco and Simon Sohm return from suspension, but Hernani is now sidelined with a one-match ban of his own.
While Matteo Cancellieri is back from injury, Alessandro Circati, Adrian Benedyczak, Gabriel Charpentier, Yordan Osorio and Valentin Mihaila are all on the sidelines.
Ex-Verona frontman Milan Djuric is a doubt with a knee injury but may be able to make the bench.
Verona are 7/5 to win on home soil on Monday, while the draw is 21/10. Parma are also 21/10 to collect all three points on the road, while both teams to score is priced at 4/5,
Verona forward Casper Tengstedt, who is on loan from Benfica, is the favourite to score anytime at 21/10.
There were five goals scored in the last meeting and over 3.5 goals is available at 3/1.
Draw @ 21/10
After beating Udinese 1-0 before the international break, Verona will at least go into Monday's game with a spring in their step.
For now, the cushion between them and the bottom three is decent enough, but they still have to keep picking up points.
Sadly, they have struggled massively in front of their own fans, winning only one of their last eight at home.
Parma are winless in eight on their travels, but successive draws against Torino and Monza suggest they are fighting for their safety and the draw looks good value as a result.

Under 2.5 goals @ 8/11
While we would love to witness another classic on Monday, this match should be a close battle.
There have been fewer than three goals in four of Verona's last five matches, and the same can be said of Parma.
After a lengthy break, both teams will want to keep things tight and this game should be cagey from the outset.
