Form Guide
Manchester City sit second in the Premier League table heading into the weekend but have lost their last two games in the English top flight, going down 2-1 at AFC Bournemouth and Brighton, and are currently on a four-game losing run in all competitions having suffered further defeats to Sporting (4-1) and Tottenham Hotspur (2-1) in the Uefa Champions League and Carabao Cup, respectively.
All four of those losses have come on the Citizens' travels, so Pep Guardiola should be relieved at a return to the Etihad on Saturday, where they have won their last four games - two of which have been in the Premier League. They're also unbeaten at home since November 12, 2022, when they lost 2-1 to Brentford.
Like Man City, Tottenham Hotspur lost last time out, suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Ipswich Town. That was the north London club's second reverse of the week after being edged out 3-2 in Istanbul by Galatasaray in the Uefa Europa League.
Over the last five Premier League games, Ange Postecoglou's side have collected three fewer points than City, who had won three in a row before Bournemouth halted their progress. Since the start of October, Spurs have beaten both West Ham and Aston Villa by a 4-1 scoreline at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but have also gone down 3-2 at Brighton & Hove Albion and 1-0 at Crystal Palace.
Tottenham's away record this season is pretty dire having picked up just four points from five Premier League games on their travels, and they've lost their last three - in all competitions - away from N17.
Therefore, while neither side is in a confident mood heading into Saturday's contest, Man City's superb home form - coupled with Spurs' awful away run - puts them hosts at an obvious advantage this weekend.
Man City are 1/2 to win this encounter, which gives them a theoretical chance of 66.7%. Tottenham are valued at 5/1 to take the three points, giving them an implied probability of 16.7%, while the draw is available at 4/1 (20%).
Head-to-head Record
The last five Premier League meetings between the sides have produced a couple of wins for each, as well as one draw.
City took four points from their league games with Spurs last season, drawing 3-3 at the Etihad last December before beating them 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May, a result which put the Citizens on the brink of the Premier League title. In between those league encounters was another win for City in N17, but the 1-0 victory in January was in the FA Cup.
In the 2022/23 campaign, the two clubs shared the points with City winning their home game 4-2 and Spurs responding with a 1-0 success in north London.
Spurs' last victory at the Etihad was back in February 2022 when they won 3-2 in east Manchester.
Three of the last five Premier League head-to-heads between the pair have seen both teams score and you can get 4/9 for BTTS - Yes on Saturday, or 13/8 if you fancy a repeat of the last league meeting between the pair when BTTS - No was a winner.
A more interesting market this weekend may be over 4.5 goals, which landed in the three aforementioned BTTS - Yes contests. Over 4.5 goals is 13/8 this weekend, and when you consider that 27 per cent of Spurs' league games this season have seen at least five goals, those odds start to become even more intriguing. City's percentage of Premier League matches with over 4.5 goals this term, meanwhile, is 18 per cent.

Player Goals/Shots/Shots on Target
City striker Erling Haaland won the Golden Boot in his first two Premier League seasons and is already well on the way to making it three from three, firing 12 goals in his first 11 appearances this term - four more than his nearest challengers. Therefore, he is a lowly 4/7 to score anytime on Saturday, but the 9/4 for the Norwegian to net first provides a lot more value, and it's a feat he has achieved five times already this season. Unsurprisingly, he also tops the shots (55) and shots on target (32) count in the Premier League - if you don't shoot, you don't score, I guess.
Haaland is also backable at 13/5 in the 'two or more' market and 11/1 to fire a third hat-trick of the campaign. That's something to bear in mind with Betfred's Double Delight & Hat-Trick Heaven offer, which allows you to place a pre-match single bet on the first goalscorer market and get double or treble the odds if your winning first goalscorer bet scores a second and third.
With question marks over the fitness and form of the likes of Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish, Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol could be an interesting shout in the anytime or first goalscorer market. The 22-year-old scored four Premier League goals in his debut season and already has three to his name this term; he's 6/1 to grab a goal at the Etihad, and 18/1 to be the man to notch the first of the game - which could even end up being the last.
On the other side, Spurs have a few stars that could trouble Saturday's hosts. Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson are both on four Premier League goals this season and are 9/4 and 16/5, respectively, to score anytime at the Etihad, while Son Heung-min is 13/5 in the same market and 8/1 to net first, as he did in the corresponding fixture last season.

Disciplinary
Neither City nor Spurs feature highly in the yellow card table; the Lilywhites are in 14th in the Premier League with 26 cautions while only Brentford (17), Everton (18) and Liverpool (21) have received fewer yellows than the Citizens (23), while neither have seen a card of the red variety yet.
However, there are a few players who have definite potential to go into the referee's notebook on Saturday.
Spurs left-back Destiny Udogie is one after making 14 fouls this season and picking up two bookings. The Italian is 11/5 to be carded at the Etihad while his teammate, Sweden international Dejan Kulusevski, is 3/1 and provides some value after already being shown three yellows from 19 fouls.
For City, Matheus Nunes - if fit - could be one to watch out for as, although he is yet to be booked in the Premier League this season, he has made nine fouls in eight games, only three of which have been starts.
