Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City Prediction: Hosts to get back on track

Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City will meet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon (14:00) with both sides in desperate need of a win.
Ange Postecoglou's side edged out Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday, while the Foxes suffered another defeat last weekend, this time at the hands of Fulham. Read on for my Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City Betting Tips
Team News
Spurs welcomed back Rodrigo Bentancur and Fraser Forster against Hoffenheim, and Postecoglou's squad could be further boosted by the possible returns of Pape Sarr and Yves Bissouma.
Antonin Kinsky and Djed Spence will also return to the fold after missing the Europa League win on Thursday, but Dominic Solanke is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury. He'll join the likes of Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie, Brennan Johnson, Micky van de Ven and Timo Werner in the treatment room.
As for the visitors, Ruud van Nistelrooy is unable to call upon the services of Wilfred Ndidi, Ricardo Pereira and Abdul Fatawu, while Oliver Skipp and Harry Winks should feature against their old club on Sunday.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City Odds
Spurs are 4/9 favourites for the game, giving them an implied win probability of 69.2%, with the draw available to back at 4/1 and Leicester are 11/2 to claim a valuable three points.
Richarlison leads the anytime goalscorer market at 11/10, along with fellow teammate Son Heung-min, while Jamie Vardy, who scored in the reverse fixture against Spurs at the King Power Stadium, is shortest-priced for the visitors at 7/4.
Tottenham to win and over 2.5 goals @ 8/11
Following Carabao Cup successes over Liverpool and Manchester United and their FA Cup beating of Tamworth, Spurs ran out 3-2 victors on Hoffenheim's soil, thanks to a brace from Son Heung-min and a strike from James Maddison.
Thursday's win over the German outfit marked Spurs' fourth straight triumph in cup football - a welcomed distraction for Postecoglou's side who are on a winless run of six games in the league.
The Lilywhites will be targeting a much-needed victory in the Premier League this Sunday, as last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Everton marked a third loss on the spin in the league, which has seen them slide down to 15th in the standings.
This could be the perfect opportunity for the hosts to get back on track, as Leicester have lost their last seven in the league and stretching further back, have recorded just one win from 14 games.
Spurs are too short to back outright at 4/9, so I've opted for a home win and over 2.5 match goals at 8/11, as this bet would have landed in each of their last seven home victories.

Son Heung-min to score anytime @ 11/10
With Dominic Solanke facing up to six weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury, much of the goalscoring burden will rest on the shoulders of Son Heung-min.
The South Korea international heads into Sunday's contest in good form, having bagged a brace on Thursday night against Hoffenheim, and he also has an impressive record against the Foxes.
The 32-year-old has scored nine times in 17 career appearances against Van Nistelrooy's side, which includes a hat-trick back in September 2022 - the last time the pair faced off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.
