Tottenham Hotspur vs Bodo/Glimt Prediction: Home comforts for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur will host Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday night (20:00, live on TNT Sports 2), as Ange Postecoglou's side look to salvage their season and lift a European trophy for the first time in 41 years.
Spurs will be looking to bounce back from a 5-1 demolition at Anfield at the weekend, while the visitors have taken 10 points from their first four games in the new Norwegian domestic season. Read on for my Tottenham Hotspur vs Bodo/Glimt predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
After making eight changes for the trip to Anfield on Sunday, it is expected that Postecoglou will revert to a full-strength XI for Thursday's contest.
That should see Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero being restored at the heart of the defence, while Rodrigo Bentancur is expected to come back into the engine room.
Son Heung-min remains a doubt after missing the last four matches, along with Radu Dragusin who continues to recover from a knee problem, whilst Antonin Kinsky and Timo Werner will miss out here as they're not registered for the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Bodo/Glimt Stats
- Spurs have lost each of their last three Premier League matches
- Bodo/Glimt have taken 10 points from their first four games in the new Norwegian domestic season
As for the visitors, they are weakened by the absence of suspended trio Patrick Berg, Hakon Evjen and Andreas Helmersen.
In addition, ever-present central defender Odin Bjortuft was forced off with a groin injury in the 3-0 league victory at home to KFUM on Sunday.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Bodo/Glimt Odds
Spurs are 1/4 favourites for Thursday's first leg, giving them an implied win probability of 80%, with the draw being priced up at 9/2, and Bodo/Glimt are 17/2 to take an advantage back to Norway.
Dominic Solanke is the favourite to score anytime at 21/20, followed by Spurs teammate Richarlison at the slightly bigger price of 23/20.
Spurs to win to nil @ 6/5
Spurs' season in the Premier League has been a woeful one to say the least as they currently sit in 16th place, and are set for a bottom-half finish for the first time since the 2007/08 campaign.
However, their performances in Europe have been much improved, conceding just 12 goals in 12 fixtures.
Postecoglou’s side have won just two of their last 12 home league games, but they have registered four wins and two draws from six Europa League home matches this term, which is why they're favourites for Thursday's clash at 1/4.
For me that price is too short, but I'm going to back the hosts to keep a clean sheet alongside winning the game. Bodo/Glimt are without several key players due to suspension and injury, and after making changes at the weekend, Spurs should have their strongest XI out for this first-leg encounter.
Postecoglou will want to take a substantial lead into next week's second leg, and with the visitors having a few notable absences, I think backing Spurs to win to nil is the way to go here.

Dominic Solanke to score anytime @ 21/20
The former Liverpool man opened the scoring at Anfield on Sunday, meaning that he now has two goals in his last three games, and with Son Heung-min expected to be absent once more, further responsibility will fall on the shoulders of 27-year-old on Thursday night.
Solanke has also been productive in the Europa League with three goals and four assists in 10 appearances. Backing him to score first at 4/1 is also a decent pick, in my opinion, but I'm going to stick with the former Chelsea man scoring anytime at 21/20.
