Torino vs Venezia Prediction: Il Toro to deepen visitors’ relegation fears

With four rounds of fixtures remaining in the 2024/25 Serie A season, 10th-placed Torino's only real aim is to record a fourth consecutive top-half finish. This is in sharp contrast to their opponents on Friday (19:45), Venezia, who are in the relegation zone and scrapping for survival.
Below are my Torino vs Venezia predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of this Stadio Olimpico di Torino meeting.
Torino vs Venezia Betting Tips
- Match Result & Total Goals Over/Under 3.5 Goals - Torino & Under 3.5 Goals @ 9/5

Team News
Torino's lengthy injury list includes Duvan Zapata, Perr Schuurs, Samuele Ricci, Emirhan Ilkhan (all knee), Alieu Njie (ankle) and Zannetos Savva (unspecified), while Valentino Lazaro is suspended after receiving his fifth yellow card of the campaign in last Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Napoli.
However, Gvidas Gineitis, who was serving a suspension of his own last weekend, is available again, while Ivan Ilic, who was substituted at half-time in Naples, has been passed fit.
Torino head coach Paolo Vanoli also offered an update on former Everton and West Ham United attacker Nikola Vlasic, who returned from a calf injury-enforced two-game absence as a second-half substitute against Napoli.
“He is capable of playing for 90 minutes, but he needs to be managed carefully," said Vanoli.
Torino vs Venezia Stats
- A Serie A-high 71% of Torino matches this season have gone under 2.5 goals
- Torino's last five home wins have seen three or fewer strikes
- Only two players have received more Serie A yellows than Saul Coco (TOR) in 24/25
Venezia have travelled to Turin without Richie Sagrado (muscle), Michael Svoboda (knee) and Mikael Egill Ellertsson (unspecified), while it remains to be seen if Cheick Conde, who was forced off in the 67th minute of his side's 2-0 defeat to Milan last Sunday, can feature on Friday.
Kike Perez, Christian Gytkjaer and Alessandro Marcandalli were all dropped down to the bench in Venice last weekend but all appeared as second-half substitutes and will be hoping for inclusions in Eusebio Di Francesco's starting XI.
Torino, who won the reverse fixture 1-0 back in August, are 7/5 to do the double over Venezia, implying a 41.7% probability, while I Leoni Alati are 9/4, or a 30.8% chance, to move above Lecce and out of the bottom three with a victory on Friday.
The draw is priced at 2/1, both teams to score at 1/1, and over 2.5 total goals at 11/8.
Che Adams (11/5) and Antonio Sanabria (5/2) head the anytime goalscorer market for Il Toro, with Gytkjaer (11/4) first up for the visitors.
Match Result & Total Goals Over/Under 3.5 Goals - Torino & Under 3.5 Goals @ 9/5
Torino cannot qualify for Europe this season and almost certainly won't catch Milan in ninth, so their current standing of 10th is the best they can hope for, really.
Still, Vanoli will be desperate for his side to maintain their position and finish in the top 10 for the fourth season running.
One win in their last five games isn't exactly sparkling form, but they're unbeaten at home in eight games this calendar year, last losing at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino on December 21, and they've won three of their last four there (and four of their last six).
The goals haven't flowed much on home soil, with 12 of their last 13 games there going under 2.5 goals - a 2-1 victory over Milan on February 22 proving to be the outlier.
It's no surprise, then, to see that Torino top Serie A's under 2.5 goals table, with 71% of their league matches this season seeing two or fewer strikes.
Torino to win and under 2.5 goals is an attractive market to consider on Friday at 16/5, but I'm adopting a slightly more cautious approach and backing the hosts for victory and under 3.5 goals at 9/5.
One of the principal reasons for this is Venezia's current predicament, which suggests that they need to win, or at the very least, avoid defeat in Turin to aid their survival battle. Currently, Di Francesco's side are two points behind 17th-placed Lecce, who could widen that gap to as many as five points by the end of the weekend.
Venezia have only won one of their last 16 games, and that was at home against bottom club Monza, whose relegation has since been confirmed.
However, they've drawn their last four away matches, impressively holding Atalanta to a 0-0 in Bergamo on March 1, and also grinding out a 1-1 at Como a week later.
Three of their last four away trips have seen two or fewer goals scored, while across the season, 76% of their games (home and away) have gone under 3.5 goals - the same as Torino.
Given that Venezia have scored in their last three away matches, I'm covering myself with the under 3.5 goals tip, while still backing Torino, who have been so strong at home in 2025, to claim maximum points.

Player to Receive a Card - Saul Coco (TOR) @ 11/4
Torino defender Saul Coco is someone I've backed a couple of times already in this market in 2024/25, and the reason for this is simple - he's a foul merchant who is prone to a card.
The 26-year-old has picked up 10 yellows this season - only Lazio's Nicolo Rovella (13) and Monza's Armando Izzo (12) have been cautioned more times in Serie A - and he's already served a couple of suspensions for his indiscretions, meaning he has no potential ban hanging over his head, so he's free to play without limitations.
Coco is averaging 1.7 fouls per 90 minutes in the 2024/25 Italian top flight, and on Friday, he could come up against a couple of opponents that know how to lure defenders in.
Venezia attacker Gaetano Oristanio is averaging 2.8 fouls won per 90 in the competition, while Gianluca Busio (1.7), John Yeboah (1.6) and Daniel Fila (1.3) are also proficient at winning free-kicks, so 11/4 for a Coco card piques my interest here.
