Champions league

In terms of Live Football on TV on Saturday 1 June in the United Kingdom, there really is only one game taking centre stage. The Champions League final. Live on TNT Sports 1 at 20:00, Borussia Dortmund take on Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium.

There is another game to keep our eye on this Saturday, as well as the looming Champions League final which could see Real Madrid win their 15th European crown. Below you can find out what is on offer on Saturday, June 1.

Live Football on TV - Saturday, June 1

Champions League final

Borussia Dortmund (9/2) vs Real Madrid (8/13) - Draw (3/1) - (TNT Sports 1 or YouTube, 20:00)

MLS

New York City (4/7) vs San Jose Earthquakes (18/5) - Draw (3/1) - (Apple TV, 00:30)

Okay, let’s start with the gargantuan game at Wembley. Real Madrid are the favourites (8/13) to win the Champions League yet again, and Saturday night could see them win the biggest prize in club football once more.

The likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr will be desperate to star in this final, and it feels like this could be the big stage for the Englishman to shine. This is the biggest game of his fledgling career so far, while Vinicius has already scored the winning goal in one of these finals, against Liverpool a couple of years ago.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men knocked out the reigning champions Manchester City during their run to the final, and also beat Bayern Munich in the semis to progress from the ‘harder’ half of the draw.  It means they come into this final full of confidence and they will fancy their chances against Borussia Dortmund.

However, the Germans have also defied the odds to reach this stage, beating Atletico Madrid and PSG on their way to Wembley. They were remarkable against Atleti and then put in a superb performance to beat PSG home and away, so they won’t mind being the underdogs heading into this one.

They also have a demon to banish. In 2013, they were beaten in the Champions League final by Bayern Munich and now they are returning to the scene of the crime to try and win their second European Cup - after their success in 1997.

On Saturday night these two giants collide, and you can watch every minute on TNT Sports, or on their YouTube channel for free. We won’t miss that one.

The other game of the day comes in the early hours of Saturday morning from the MLS, where New York City host the San Jose Earthquakes. New York City currently sit third in the Eastern Conference and are eight points behind Inter Miami, while San Jose have had a poor season and are second-bottom in the Western Conference. That’s why New York City are favourites for this one, and it's difficult to see anything other than a big home win.

Catch the MLS in the early hours on Apple TV, before tuning into Europe’s biggest club game on Saturday night.
