Livingston enjoy home advantage in the latest round of fixtures from the Scottish Premiership. David Martindale’s team have won only one of their previous six outings, and are without a win in their last four.

To make matters worse for the locals, they’ve lost each of their previous five meetings with Sunday’s opponents. Will the Lions end that drought here?

Rangers travel from Govan to West Lothian searching for their first league win. Remarkably, the visitors are stuck in the relegation zone following four draws and a defeat, having scored three goals but conceded five.

It’s their second match of the week following Thursday’s disastrous Europa League defeat to Genk at Ibrox. Will the away fans be cheering loudest at full-time? You can place your Livingston vs Rangers wagers on the Betfred app and site.

Livingston vs Rangers Odds

It’s not often you’ll find a home team priced as the underdogs against an opponent in the relegation zone, but that’s the case here. Livingston started the weekend in eighth place, thanks to one win, two draws, and three defeats.

The Lions have scored eight and conceded 11. That’s one more win than their opponents, and Livingston have scored five more goals than Gers at this stage. The home win is 18/5 on the Betfred app and site.

The visitors drew each of their opening four matches and were well beaten by Hearts at Ibrox last time out.

The Jambos rode their luck in Glasgow, but left with a 2-0 win and all three points. Everyone connected to Rangers know much better is expected. The away win is 7/10, with another draw sure to attract attention at odds of 3/1.

Livingston vs Rangers Stats

  • Rangers are still looking for their first SPL win under Russell Martin.
  • Livingston have conceded the most goals in the division - 11 through five matches.

Rangers to win

The new-look Rangers squad is taking longer than expected to gel, but we saw promising signs in their 2-0 win over Hibs in the League Cup last time.

With Nico Raskin back in the team, Gers are stronger in midfield, as the Belgian’s work ethic helps link defence with attack. He’ll be the driving force in the middle of the pitch again, and will remind everyone Rangers are much better with him in their starting line up.

The visitors need their experienced players to stand up and be counted in their time of need.

Almondvale isn’t an easy place to win, especially when the pressure is mounting, but Rangers have a great record here. The head-to-head stats show the visitors won 2-0 when last in town, achieved thanks to goals from Cyriel Dessers and James Tavernier.

They won 3-0 the time before that, with the captain scoring a double. It won’t be pretty, and Rangers remain a work in progress, but I’m trusting Tav and co to get the job done.

Rangers win to nil

We’ll push our luck a little further and shoot for a bet at higher odds. Sticking with the stats, we know Rangers have beaten Livingston in each of their previous five meetings.

In that time, Gers have built an aggregate score of 16-0, and that’s worth following. Livi haven’t scored a goal past Sunday’s opponents since a 1-1 draw at Ibrox in 2022. That leads us to a bet on Rangers to win to nil.

To secure a profit, you need Rangers to win the match and also to keep a clean sheet. The final score and scorers aren’t important, with a 1-0 away win paying the same as a 5-0 victory.

If Rangers beat Livingston without leaking a goal for the sixth match on the bounce, you’ll bag a healthy profit. Livi drew a blank when drawing with Aberdeen earlier this month. Martindale’s team also failed to score against both Celtic and Hibs in August, while Rangers won to nil last weekend.
