The Jambos lead the way with four games left to play as they seek a first top-flight title in 66 years. Rangers have slipped to third, four points back, after last weekend's home loss against Motherwell.
The visiting Light Blues are in must-win territory, while Hearts have to deal with the powder-keg atmosphere in the capital to keep their historic title crusade on course.
Team News
Hearts are without key performers Oisin McAtee and Tomas Magnusson in their engine room, but full-back Harry Milne could return to the matchday squad having missed the last four games.
James Tavernier has confirmed his 11-year stint at Rangers will end this summer but the skipper was excellent in the 3-2 loss against Motherwell after coming off the bench. He'll hope to have now earned a start, while John Souttar is also expected back from injury.
Hearts vs Rangers Predicted Lineups
- Hearts: Schwolow, Steinwender, Halkett, Findlay; Altena, Leonard, Baningime, Kingsley; Braga; Shankland, Kabore
- Rangers: Butland; Sterling, Djiga, Fernandez, Meghoma; Raskin, Chukwuani; Aasgaard, Gassama; Miovski, Chermiti
Despite being top of the league since November, Hearts are slight underdogs at 7/4 for this seismic Scottish Premiership showdown. Rangers travel to Edinburgh as 7/5 favourites, with the draw priced at 13/5.
Both teams to score is a 4/6 chance at Tynecastle, with Over 2.5 goals priced at 8/11.
Rangers forward Youssef Chermiti has four league goals against Hearts this season and trades at 9/2 to open the scoring.
Hearts vs Rangers Stats
- Hearts have scored eight goals in their last five matches
- Rangers have won three of their last four league games
Over 2.5 goals @ 8/11
This is a massive game for both clubs and it could be a belter. Rangers were 4-2 winners at Ibrox in February and over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in three of the last four Scottish Premiership meetings between the clubs.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in Hearts' last three games and each of Rangers' previous four. The Light Blues have seen 25 goals scored in four league games lately.
Hearts have won four of their six league games against Rangers and Celtic so far this season (D1, L1) and will have no fears taking on an Old Firm club at Tynecastle.
Danny Rohl expects Rangers to be "the hunters" in this contest. They have been scoring freely but have conceded nine goals in four league games since March 21 and another high-scoring contest is forecast.

Bet Builder – Lawrence Shankland & Youssef Chermiti anytime goalscorers @ 4/1
With goals anticipated it could be worth pairing up Lawrence Shankland & Youssef Chermiti to get amongst the action.
Shankland's return from injury has been timely for Hearts, with successive goals against Livingston and Motherwell before he failed to fire in the Edinburgh derby win over Hibs at Easter Road.
He's got a decent record of six goals in 16 Premiership appearances against Rangers, though.
Chermiti relishes facing Hearts. The 21-year-old Portuguese has scored four times against the Jambos since joining from Everton last summer – accounting for 80 per-cent of Rangers' goals in this fixture this season.
He also fired a brace in the New Year's derby win at Celtic and has proved himself adept on the big occasion. None are bigger than this for Rangers right now and, with three goals and two assists in his last three outings, Chermiti could be the man for the big stage again.
