Dundee will be without Clark Robertson, who is struggling with a thigh injury, while Billy Koumetio is also a major doubt. Yan Dhanda should be fit after coming off against Motherwell and Callum Jones back is in contention.
For the visitors Craig Sibbald, Isaac Pappoe and Bert Esselink are injured and will not make the trip to Dens Park, but United are boosted by Amar Fatah and Iurie Iovu’s return from suspension.

Dundee United to win @ 2/1
It's one Dundee derby win each in for Dundee and United this season, so it's all to play for at Dens Park on Sunday.
The Terrors were good 2-0 winners on hostile territory in August and they can be fancied to give their city rivals nightmares again this weekend.
Jim Goodwin's men have lost only two of their last seven matches and that solid run includes good wins over St Mirren and Falkirk.
The Terrors can be pleased with their progress this season after a huge squad overhaul in the summer and. while they can’t be viewed as one of Scotland's leading lights, they may just have the edge on their city rivals.
Only Livingston and Kilmarnock are putting up weaker expected goals numbers than Dundee this season and the Dark Blues have been pretty fortunate to pick up 31 points this term.
Steven Pressley's men have won only two of their eight games and those victories were narrow single-goal margin successes over Aberdeen and Motherwell.
Dundee were second-best against an Aberdeen side reduced to ten men and they scored two goals from only two shots on target against Kilmarnock.
United welcome key forward Fatah back from suspension this weekend and the Terrors can deliver Dundee a fright at Dens Park.

Over 2.5 goals @ 10/11
A top-six position is out of reach for both Dundee sides, which could see the handbrake come off this weekend. There is little danger of a relegation battle too and that should lead to an entertaining contest.
Either way, Dundee have seen 18 goals scored in their last four games and five of their last six matches have gone over 2.5 goals.
It's seven of United's last nine games that have bust the 2.5-goal line and it was end-to-end action in the Terrors' most recent Scottish Premiership tie against the Buddies.
Take at least three goals at Dens Park.
