Celtic vs Rangers Prediction: Champions not finished yet

Only three points will do for Celtic in their bid to retain their William Hill Premiership crown, but Old Firm rivals Rangers will be all-out to stop the champions at Parkhead.
The Gers’ title hopes were pretty much ended by defeat at Hearts on Monday and the Jambos have their own championship dreams with only three games of the Scottish top flight remaining.
The final Old Firm duel of the season sets up a key Parkhead clash and it’s surely to be a feisty contest.
Team News
First-choice Celtic keeper Kasper Schmeichel is sidelined along with key defender Cameron Carter-Vickers. The Bhoys are also without Colby Donovan, Julian Araujo, Adam Montgomery, Jota and Callum Osmand.
Alistair Johnston returned to the starting lineup against Hibs last weekend and should keep his place at full-back. Kelechi Iheanacho grabbed the winner from the substitutes bench at Easter Road and could be handed a starting role up front.
Rangers are boosted by the return of Tuur Rommens, who could start at Parkhead. Danny Rohl may look to switch up the team which lost 2-1 at Hearts on Monday, with Bojan Miovski, Djeidi Gassama, Connor Barron and Mohamed Diomande pushing for starts.
Celtic vs Rangers
Celtic are even money to keep their title hopes alive, while Rangers are 23/10 to win at Parkhead with the draw a 3/1 chance.
Celtic to win @ 1/1
It has been an underwhelming season for both of the Old Firm teams and the Glasgow giants face watching Heats collect the Scottish Premiership title in three games time.
Rangers’ loss to the Jambos on Monday night effectively ended their title push, but they would like nothing more than to inflict the same fate on their great rivals.
Danny Rohl’s men have been able to produce a consistent run of performances this season although the away form of the Light Blues has been a particular concern.
Rangers have won only eight of 24 all-competition away matches this season although a 3-1 January win at Parkhead is the highlight of their travels. On only eight occasions have the Gers scored more than one goal on the road and the win at Celtic Park is a huge outlier on their general performances.
Celtic are way below their peak and a long way behind the team which won the championship last term. However, they have won three home league games on the bounce and the title is still in sight.
Daizen Maeda has found form in front of goal, scoring four times in his last three games, while Alistair Johnston’s return reinforces the Bhoys’ defence.
Martin O’Neill’s men look to have the edge in this spot and even-money about a home win looks to hold some value.

Under 2.5 goals @ 6/4
Four of the last six Old Firm matches have gone under 2.5 goals and Sunday’s final all-Glasgow clash of the campaign can follow suit.
Two league games between the Glasgow giants this season have twice ended 0-0 and the Scottish League Cup contest ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. Clearly, a draw is no use to either side in this spot, but that may not lead to the goal extravaganza the market anticipates.
