Qualification from Group H for Euro 2024 will go down to the wire on Monday when Slovenia hosts Kazakhstan in Ljubljana.

Both teams can still qualify for next year's tournament in Germany automatically, but it is the hosts that have the advantage.

They have a one-point cushion over Kazakhstan and will qualify if they avoid defeat, while Kazakhstan can qualify with a victory, while they will drop into the play-offs if they fail to do so.

 Slovenia vs Kazakhstan Betting Tips

  • Slovenia to win and both teams to score @ 11/4
  • Over 3.5 goals @ 5/2

Match Odds

With Monday's game taking place in Ljubljana, Slovenia are 1/2 favourites as they try to secure their place at a major tournament.

The draw is available at 3/1, while Kazakhstan are as big as 13/2 to collect all three points as they look to continue their incredible journey during this qualifying campaign.

A lively affair is expected, with over 2.5 goals priced at evens, while both teams to score is 11/10.

Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko, who plays for RB Leipzig, is the favourite to score anytime, and he is 11/8 to find the back of the net on Monday.

Team news

Domen Crnigoj and David Brekalo are the only two absentees from the Slovenia squad, but coach Matjaz Kek still has plenty of options at his disposal.

Miha Zajc and Sandi Lovric are two of the most high-profile players within his squad, but they have struggled for game time of late due to Slovenia's recent run of results.

Kazakhstan coach Magomed Adiyev cannot call upon the services of Bakhtiyar Zaynutdinov and Askhat Tagybergen due to injury, while Bauyrzhan Islamkhan is also unavailable.

Centre-back Nuraly Alip was left out of the team for the recent 3-1 win over San Marino, but the Zenit St Petersburg defender should return to the starting XI for this clash.

Slovenia to win and both teams to score @ 11/4

There is so much riding on Monday's match, and Slovenia will be desperate to reward their fans after their narrow 2-1 defeat to Denmark on Friday.

That result has given Kazakhstan a chance of qualifying, but Slovenia know they can get the job done, having beaten Adiyev's team 2-1 in March away from home.

Slovenia are unbeaten in seven at home, and while they should come out on top, Kazakhstan should go down fighting, having scored in five matches in a row on their travels.

Over 3.5 goals @ 5/2

Kazakhstan have been involved in some high-scoring games of late, with two of their previous three containing four goals.

Monday's game is their best chance of qualification, and they will no doubt throw everything at Slovenia in an attempt to make history as they search for their first-ever major tournament appearance.

Slovenia have the firepower to fight back, and this match could be an end-to-end tussle.
