Roma's pursuit of a perfect Group G points tally faces its most difficult test yet as the Giallorossi take a trip to the Czech Republic to face Slavia Prague on Thursday.

A 2-0 win over Slavia at the Stadio Olimpico last time out made it three out of three wins for Jose Mourinho's men, who have been further buoyed by two late goals in Sunday night's 2-1 win over Lecce.

Slavia's own flawless start in the Europa League was brought to an end in Rome, but eight goals scored and zero conceded in two home games is evidence of their European prowess at the Fortuna Arena.

Slavia Prague vs Roma Betting Tips

  • Draw @ 2/1
  • Slavia Prague Total Goals Over 1.5 @ 7/4

Team News

David Pech and Petr Sevcik will miss out for Slavia as they continue to recover from a knee and muscle injury respectively.

For the visitors, Tammy Abraham and Marash Kumbulla remain absent through long-term injuries, while captain Lorenzo Pellegrini is still out after suffering a muscle issue in the 2-0 win over Servette on October 5th.

Defenders Chris Smalling and Leonardo Spinazzola are also expected to miss Thursday's game, which could see starts for the likes of Andrea Belotti, Sardar Azmoun, Zeki Celik and Nicola Zalewski.

Match Odds

Slavia are 15/8 to make it successive home wins in the Europa League. You can back a draw at 2/1 and Roma are favourites at 11/8.

Both teams to score is priced at 4/5, while Romelu Lukaku is 13/8 to score in a 15th consecutive Europa League game.

Draw @ 2/1

Roma's perfect start to their Europa League campaign is in stark contrast to 2022/23, when they won only one of their first four group stages games.

In fact, despite reaching the final of the competition, Roma recorded just one away win, a 2-1 defeat of Finnish side HJK.

Mourinho's side have already matched that total, but it wasn't straightforward as Sheriff Tiraspol pulled a goal back to make the scoreline read an awkward 2-1 in September.

Slavia, meanwhile, are a fearsome prospect at home.

Sunday's defeat to Viktoria Plzen was their first at Fortuna Arena since May 13th, and they've suffered just three losses at home since the start of last season.

With Roma imperious in Europe and Slavia so strong at home, a draw might be the best result bet here, with a point likely to satisfy both sides' knockout objectives.

Slavia Prague Total Goals Over 1.5 @ 7/4

At slightly shorter odds you can find over 1.5 Slavia Prague goals at 7/4.

Despite Mourinho building his success in Europe upon a resolute defence, Roma's has been anything but this season. Only Fiorentina have conceded more in Serie A's top half, though there has been some improvement since the start of October.

Slavia's aforementioned strong home form has seen them score at least twice in seven of their 10 games in 23/24, including all three European homes games, two of them Europa League qualifiers.

Roma are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this season, conceding four and two at Genoa and Verona respectively.
