Sheffield United vs Tottenham predictions betting tips Premier League 19th May 2025

Ange Postecoglou had something of falling-out with a section of the Tottenham fanbase over their attitude to Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, but his side can end the season in style by beating Sheffield United on Sunday (16:00).

That's my Sheff Utd vs Tottenham prediction - which even includes a correct scoreline suggestion at 9/1 - anyway.

Sheff Utd vs Tottenham Tips

  • Tottenham to win and both teams to score @ 21/20
  • Dejan Kulusevski to score anytime @ 2/1

Team News

The Blades should have midfielder Oliver Arblaster fit despite coming off last weekend with a minor calf injury. Defenders Anel Ahmedhodzic and Mason Holgate are also available. Ahmedozic was suspended for the game against Everton, while Holgate was ineligible to face his parent club.

Postecoglou revealed on Friday that Giovani Lo Celso is a doubt with a knee injury. Dejan Kulusevski could come back into the side, while Micky van de Ven looks set to continue at left-back due to injuries to Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie.

Sheff Utd vs Tottenham Odds

Sheffield are 13/2 to win for just the third time in the league this season at Bramall Lane, while Tottenham are 1/3 to pick up a seventh away victory of the campaign.

The draw is available at 5/1, while a repeat of Tottenham's 2-1 win in the reverse game is priced at 17/2.

Tottenham to win and both teams to score @ 21/20

For all the furore surrounding their defeat to City, it has almost gone under the radar that Spurs played really well during that game.

The Citizens' goals came because Rodrigo Bentancur couldn't foul Phil Foden after earlier picking up a needless yellow card for impeding the same player, while the stoppage-time penalty was a result of a tiring Pedro Perro struggling to deal with a brilliant and fresher opponent in Jeremy Doku.

Postecoglou's outbursts may have riled his players and although collectively they occasionally switch off at the back, Spurs should still have too much against the division's worst defence and a correct score to look for could be 3-1 at 9/1.

Tottenham to beat Sheffield United and BTTS at 21-20

Dejan Kulusevski to score anytime @ 2/1

Kulusevski looked sharp off the bench against City, forcing an excellent save from Stefan Ortega, and he should feature either as a starter or a substitute at Bramall Lane.

The Swede has struggled with form and fitness this season and may feel he has a point to prove ahead of another busy summer in N17, as Postecoglou looks to further stamp his authority on the squad.

'Kulu' scored the winner in September's reverse match and is a candidate to grab another goal on Sunday.

Dejan Kulusevski to score anytime at 2-1
