Sheffield United know only a win will do as they look to pull off an improbable great escape, but title contenders Arsenal are unlikely to slip up at Bramall Lane on Monday, 4th March.

The Gunners sit third in the Premier League table and may have some more catching up to do by the time this game kicks-off on Monday at 8pm, as Liverpool (won) and Manchester City play on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Team News

Sheffield United’s injury woes have eased and they have a few players who will return for Monday’s game as Ben Brereton Diaz and George Baldock are back in contention.

The Blades still have up to eight players unavailable, however, including the suspended Mason Holgate.

Long-term injury victim Jurrien Timber is Arsenal’s only definite absentee, but the game is still likely to come too soon for Oleksandr Zinchenko, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Match Odds

Arsenal are the clear favourites to win at 1/6, with the draw 6/1 and Sheffield United 16/1 to claim what would be just their fourth Premier League win of the season.

The Gunners have scored 15 goals across their last three Premier League games and over 3.5 goals is priced at 1/1, while Arsenal’s leading scorer Bukayo Saka is 7/2 to open the scoring in South Yorkshire.

Arsenal -2 handicap @ 5/4

Arsenal have won their last six Premier League games and they should have little trouble making it seven in a row against the doomed Blades, who have lost four of their last five and have 19 defeats in 26 league games all season.

The Gunners won the reverse fixture 5-0 back in October and they head to Bramall Lane in fine scoring form - so the best way to get a bit of value out of this game could be by backing the visitors to win with plenty of room to spare.

Mikel Arteta’s men out a good Newcastle side to the sword last time out as they triumphed 4-1 at the Emirates Stadium. Prior to that, they won 5-0 at Burnley and 6-0 at West Ham so beating a -2 handicap looks a modest target for this in-form team on Monday.

The Blades have conceded five goals in each of their last three home games as they have lost twice to Brighton, in the FA Cup and in the league, and to Aston Villa so Arsenal should be able to win convincingly here.

Arsenal -2 handicap betting vs Sheff Utd

#PickYourPunt Bukayo Saka to score, Gustavo Hamer carded, Kai Havertz 1+ shots on target, over 10.5 corners @ 10/1

We’ve put together a 10/1 four selection #PickYourPunt bet for Monday’s game and a goal for Bukayo Saka looks a strong play.

Saka is Arsenal’s leading scorer with 13 Premier League goals and seven of those have come in his last five games.

Blades midfielder Gustavo Hamer is a card contender as he has three bookings in his last seven games across all competitions and is averaging 1.3 fouls per-game in the league.

Kai Havertz has improved in recent weeks for Arsenal and has scored in his last two league games, so he should at least be able to test the keeper.

Arsenal managed nine corners themselves against Newcastle and they forced six at Burnley in the previous round of fixtures.

The Blades had six in their defeat at Wolves last time out and managed five in their last home game, a 5-0 loss to Brighton, so these two sides should be able to combine for at least 11 between them on Monday.
