There is a clash from the Swiss Super League coming our way on Wednesday (19:30) as Servette welcome Young Boys to Stade de Geneve. The visitors' title defence did not get off to the start they would have wanted at the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Sion.

Servette experienced the opposite as they started their campaign with a 2-1 win at Luzern. An intriguing clash should lie ahead and below you will find my Servette vs Young Boys prediction, including match odds and team news.

Team News

After a strong performance against Luzern, Servette are unlikely to make too many changes ahead of this home clash with Young Boys. Dereck Kutesa and Steve Rouiller were the scorers in that match and the former will be hoping to build on his numbers from last year.

Kutesa netted four goals and provided seven assists last season in the Super League, and he has already enjoyed a bright start to the new campaign. He is likely to keep his place in attack, alongside Miroslav Stevanovic and Enzo Crivelli.

There could be a debut in store for striker Victory Beniangba, who recently joined the hosts from Genk.

For Young Boys, they will have to cope without the services of defender Jaouen Hadjam after the player was sent off against Sion last time out. Also unavailable are Saidy Janko, Loris Benito, Facinet Conte and Alexandre Jankewitz, who are all currently ruled out through injury. Mohamed Ali Camara is a doubt having missed the season opener.

Draw @ 5/2

The way I see this playing out is for both teams to get a share of the spoils. I think a draw is worth backing here because Servette have built some momentum from their opening day win, and Young Boys cannot begin to imagine failing to pick up a single point from their first two matches as the reigning champions.

The hosts are also unbeaten in nine of their last 12 matches across all competitions, so Young Boys are going to be in for another tough test on Wednesday. However, the visitors will be driven to make amends for this underwhelming start on home soil as they seek to get their first points on the board at the second attempt.

Two teams have plenty of quality within their ranks, although on paper, Young Boys have the lion's share, but Servette's form in recent months cannot be overlooked. They will give the visiting side a very tough 90 minutes and they can certainly cause them some problems.

I expect Young Boys to look more composed after their first league fixture under their belt, but the confidence that Servette have right now makes me think they will only be able to muster a point in this clash.

Draw at 5/2 Both teams to score - Yes @ 4/9

This leads me on nicely to my next selection. I think both teams to score is worth backing in this match because as I have already mentioned above, there is plenty of quality among both squads. They each found the back of the net in their league opener and I think we could be treated to an entertaining spectacle in Geneva.

With both teams having finished in the top three in Super League last season, with Servette scoring 53 goals to Young Boys' 67, I do not think there will be a shortage of goals in this match, despite this only being the second game of term. I am confident that we will see goals at both ends.
