Roma vs Fiorentina Prediction: Dodo to come alive in Rome

Uefa Champions League-chasing AS Roma can overtake fifth-placed Como and move to within a point of Juventus (fourth) with a victory over Fiorentina on Monday (19:45 BST, live on Betfred.com). La Viola, meanwhile, can clinch Serie A safety with a win at the Stadio Olimpico, but with 18th-placed Cremonese taking on Lazio at home earlier in the day, survival may already be achieved.

Lorenzo Pellegrini (thigh), Bryan Zaragoza (knee), Evan Ferguson (ankle) and Artem Dovbyk (groin) miss out for Gian Piero Gasperini's Roma due to injury, while Neil El Aynaoui is serving a suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards.

However, Manu Kone could return after a five-game absence.

Fiorentina head coach Paolo Vanoli takes his side to Rome without Moise Kean (leg/personal reasons), Roberto Piccoli (muscle), Tariq Lamptey (knee), Niccolo Fortini (back) and Luis Balbo (unspecified), but Marin Pongranic is available after he was banned for La Viola's 0-0 stalemate at home to Sassuolo last time out.

Roma, unbeaten in the league on home soil since November 30, are 8/15 favourites to collect all three points on Monday, implying a 65.2% probability of success. Fiorentina, meanwhile, are 5/1, or a 16.7% chance, to claim a third away win in their last four Serie A away games, with the draw offered at 3/1.

Price Boosts - Donyell Malen (ROM) To Score First @ 3/1 7/2

There's a strong argument to be made that Donyell Malen has been the most successful mid-season signing across Europe's top five leagues, with the Netherlands international having scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for Roma since joining on loan from Aston Villa in January.

The 27-year-old has been potent in Serie A, netting 11 times in 14 games, and despite missing the first half of the league season, he's in with a shout of claiming the Golden Boot.

Malen is five goals behind Serie A's leading marksman, Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez (16), but he boasts a game in hand on the Argentine, who could be rested for upcoming matches with his side having already scooped the Scudetto ahead of their Coppa Italia final with Lazio on May 13.

Roma's Flying Dutchman has scored in two of his last three appearances, hitting a hat-trick in a 3-0 home win over Pisa on April 10 and netting in a 2-0 victory at Bologna on April 25, and in both games, he grabbed the first goal.

More than half (six) of Malen's league goals for Roma have opened the scoring, so the 7/2 boost for him to strike first on Monday looks very appealing.

Player to Have 2 or More Shots - Dodo (FIO) @ 11/2

Fiorentina right-back Dodo, who is averaging 0.8 shots per 90 in this season's Serie A, recorded three attempts in his side's last game, a goalless draw at Sassuolo on April 26.

The 27-year-old has shot at least once in four of his last five league appearances, the first of which saw him score in a 4-1 victory at Cremonese on March 16.

Dodo shot twice in October's reverse fixture as Roma triumphed 2-1 in Florence, and at 11/2, he looks good value to pull the trigger at least twice on Monday.
