Napoli vs Lazio Prediction: Scott’s too hot for I Biancocelesti

Napoli continue their Serie A campaign on Saturday evening (17:00 BST, live on Betfred.com) when they welcome Lazio to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

The hosts are nine points behind leaders Inter Milan and will be looking to bounce back after sharing the spoils with Parma last time out. Read on for my Napoli vs Lazio predictions, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Amir Rrahmani could return for the hosts here, after missing several matches with a hamstring problem, but skipper Giovanni Di Lorenzo will miss out.

Romelu Lukaku, David Neres and Antonio Vergara are also sidelined for Saturday's contest.

As for the visitors, Mattia Zaccagni returned to the side on Monday night and should be involved here, however, Adam Marusic and Nicolo Rovella remain on the treatment table alongside goalkeepers Ivan Provedel and Alessio Furlanetto.

I'm backing Napoli to keep their distant title hopes alive here and claim a fourth straight victory at home.

The hosts have lost just once in their last 10 - a 3-1 defeat away at Atalanta back in February - and are 26 games unbeaten in front of their own fans.

Both teams have struggled to find the back of the net lately - Napoli have scored just once in each of their last three matches have scored just three times in their last three outings.

In fact, four of the last six head-to-heads between the pair have also seen two or fewer goals, which is why I'm also backing under 2.5 goals on Saturday.

Scott McTominay to score anytime @ 15/8

Scott McTominay has been a revelation since swapping Manchester for Naples, and the Scotland international comes into Saturday's contest in fine form, netting three in his last five league outings.

The former Manchester United midfielder has never scored against Lazio, though, and will be keen to break his duck here. He played in a more defensive role in the reverse fixture back in January, but he's expected to start further forward this weekend, which could easily result in the 29-year-old finding the back of the net.
