Team News

Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Frank Anguissa (all thigh), Billy Gilmour (groin), Miguel Gutierrez (ankle) and Alex Meret (foot) miss out for Napoli, who won 1-0 at AS Roma last Sunday thanks to a 36th-minute strike from David Neres.

Football Odds

Dusan Vlahovic (muscle), Carlo Pinsoglio, Daniele Rugani, Arkadiusz Milik (all calf) and Bremer (knee) are in the Juventus treatment room.

Head coach Luciano Spaletti is likely to revert to the starting XI that lined up for last Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Cagliari, with the likes of Federico Gatti, Fabio Miretti and Juan Cabal, who began Tuesday’s 2-0 Coppa Italia win against Udinese, expected to drop back down to the bench for league duties.

Napoli vs Juventus Predicted Lineups

  • Napoli: Milinkovic-Savic; Beukema, Rrahmani, Buongiorno; Di Lorenzo, Lobotka, McTominay, Olivera; David Neres, Hojlund, Lang
  • Juventus: Perin; Kalulu, Kelly, Koopmeiners; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Kostic; Conceicao, Yildiz; David

Napoli vs Juventus Odds

Napoli won last season’s corresponding fixture 2-1 in January, with Anguissa and Lukaku scoring second-half goals to render Randal Kolo Muani’s 43rd-minute opener meaningless.

Gli Azzurri, who have beaten the Old Lady five times in a row at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, are 11/8 to make it six on Sunday, implying a 42.1% probability of success, while the visitors are 9/4, or a 30.8% chance, to claim a first success in Naples since March 2019, with the draw offered at 2/1.

Napoli vs Juventus Stats

  • Four of NAP's last five games have featured two or fewer goals
  • NAP have won their last five home matches against JUV
  • NAP are unbeaten at home in 25/26 (W7, D2)

Total Goals Over/Under +2.5 - Under 2.5 @ 13/8

Juve have seen 69% of their 13 Serie A games this season finish with two or fewer goals; only Roma, Lazio and Como (all 77%) are higher in the Under 2.5 Goals table.

Napoli (54%) are joint-10th in that table, but it’s been a winning selection in four of their last five league matches, and in half (two) of their four league phase contests in the Uefa Champions League, plus Wednesday's Coppa Italia victory over Cagliari (1-1, 9-8 on pens).

Juve’s last two European outings, against Real Madrid and Sporting CP, have produced a single goal and two, respectively, and their 2-0 victory over Udinese in midweek was the fourth time in their last six games that under 2.5 goals were recorded.

Today's Football Fixtures

Recent meetings between Napoli and Juve have been tight, with one draw and four one-goal margin wins from the last five, and under 2.5 goals has landed in three of them.

I can see another tight encounter between the two teams on Sunday.

Match Result - Napoli @ 11/8

Juve have not been convincing at all on their travels this term.

The Turin club only edged out Genoa, who sacked head coach Patrick Vieira at the start of November, 1-0 in their first trip of the season on August 31, and that was only thanks to a Vlahovic strike in the 73rd minute.

Juve then failed to win any of their next five away games in all competitions, drawing the first two and losing the next three, before ending their winless run at newly-promoted Cremonese on November 1.

The Old Lady were unbeaten in three away contests last month, holding Fiorentina to a 1-1 draw in Serie A on November 22 before triumphing 3-2 at Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt in the Uefa Champions League three days later.

However, I’m expecting Napoli, who are unbeaten on home soil this season, to offer a sterner examination of Juve’s away credentials on Sunday.

Antonio Conte’s charges have won seven and drawn two of their nine home games in 2025/26, with only Como and Eintracht Frankfurt (both 0-0), in Serie A and the Champions League, respectively, denying them all three points in Naples.

Gli Azzurri have a tremendous record in this fixture, winning four of the last six head-to-heads (D1, L1), and they’ve been victorious in the last five head-to-heads in Naples, so I like their 11/8 price to win this weekend.
