Lazio vs Genoa Prediction: Rossoblu’s BTTS record appears to be overlooked

There are six points separating Lazio and Genoa in the Serie A table as the two teams lock horns at Stadio Olimpico on Friday (19:45 GMT, live on Betfred.com). The hosts are without a win on home turf in two calendar months, while the visitors head here with two wins in three matches.
Below you will find my Lazio vs Genoa predictions, alongside the latest match odds and team news.

Team News
Lazio are missing centre-backs Samuel Gigot and Patric due to ankle and muscle problems respectively. Midfielder Nicolo Rovella continues to build up his fitness after a lengthy period out.
Daniel Maldini, Kenneth Taylor and Petar Ratkov have joined the hosts this month to bolster their ranks for the second half of the season.
For Genoa, they are without the services of Benjamin Siegrist (finger), Albert Gronbaek and January addition Tommaso Baldanzi (both muscle) due to injury.
The visitors can welcome back defender Leo Ostigard following a one-game suspension, and the Norway international is expected to come straight back into the side on Friday.
Lazio vs Genoa Predicted Lineups
- Lazio: Provedel; Lazzari, Gila, Romagnoli, Marusic; Basic, Cataldi, Taylor; Cancellieri, Ratkov, Zaccagni
- Genoa: Leali; Marcandalli, Ostigard, Vasquez; Norton-Cuffy, Frendrup, Malinovskyi, Ellertsson, Martin; Vitinha, Colombo
Lazio won the reverse fixture comfortably - winning 3-0 at Luigi Ferraris - and they are 10/11 to win this clash.
Genoa have been victorious in two of their past three outings in Serie A and they are 16/5 to exact their revenge.
The stalemate is on offer at 2/1 (implied probability of 33.3%), and Lazio have drawn three of their previous five home games in the top flight.
Lazio's Matteo Cancellieri was on the scoresheet when the teams last met and he is 13/5 to score anytime on Friday.
Lazio vs Genoa Stats
- 3 of Lazio's past 5 home games in the league have been draws
- Genoa are unbeaten in 5 Serie A matches
- 9 of Genoa's 10 away trips in the league have seen both teams score
Match Result - Draw @ 2/1
Lazio found life very comfortable in Genoa back in September but the visitors head here as a different entity. Daniele De Rossi has been improving their form and they are five games unbeaten heading into this clash in Rome.
The hosts, however, have been finding wins hard to come by of late, with one victory in their previous seven appearances in Serie A. Boss Maurizio Sarri may also be concerned with the Biancocelesti's home form, as they are winless at the Olimpico in their last five fixtures here.
Genoa are ticking along nicely right now, and they should be sensing an opportunity to get a result in the capital, as Lazio are out of rhythm right now. With the home side drawing three of their past five home games, a draw feels like a smart play on Friday night.

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 6/5
I think the Betfred traders are being quite generous with this 6/5 price for both teams to score in Rome because Genoa reign supreme when it comes to this market striking in away matches.
There have been goals at both ends in nine of the Rossoblu's 10 road trips in the top flight this campaign, including three of their last four heading into this contest.
Lazio may be the team for which this market has landed for the least this season (4/22) but this selection has been a winner in two of their past six games in the league, including a home draw with Fiorentina earlier this month.
