Juventus vs Roma Prediction: Don’t expect goals galore in game of the weekend

Serie A’s game of the weekend takes place at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday (20:45 local, 19:45 GMT, live on DAZN) when Juventus host Roma.
It’s fifth versus fourth on the ladder, with both sides hoping to make ground on the three teams above in Supercoppa week. My Juventus vs Roma predictions are below with full team news and Betfred’s match odds.

Team News
Luciano Spalletti will have a couple of decisions to make, with Bremer having come through his 15-minute return at Bologna unscathed.
Juan Cabal could continue, with the Brazilian being used as a substitute once more. Meanwhile, Jonathan David and Lois Openda are fighting over a single spot up front.
Roma’s Evan Ndicka has jetted off for Africa Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast, but Zeki Celik is back from suspension.
Neil El Aynaoui is also at Afcon for host nation Morocco, so Gian Piero Gasperini has a slightly weakened midfield group to choose from.
Juventus vs Roma Predicted Lineups
- Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Kelly, Cabal; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Yildiz; Openda
- Roma: Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Hermoso; Wesley, Cristante, Kone, Rensch; Soule, Pellegrini; Ferguson
Despite coming into the game below Roma in the league and with no hope of surpassing them on Saturday, Juve are the 1/1 favourites to pick up the three points.
The draw is 11/5 while you can get on Roma at 3/1.
It’s 1/1 for Both Teams to Score, while Juve are 5/4 to keep a clean sheet with Roma 13/5 to do so.
Juventus vs Roma Stats
- Both teams have scored in only 3 of Roma’s 15 Serie A matches this term
- The Giallorossi have won 9 games to nil in 2025/26
- Juve have so far collected 4 points against top-four opposition (4-3 v Inter, 0-0 v Milan, 1-2 at Napoli)
- There have been a league-high average of 11.14 corners in Juventus home games
Double Chance & BTTS: Draw or Roma & No @ 13/5
That old chestnut of Serie A teams looking to win every game 1-0 has never really been true, but Gasperini’s Roma have this season come as close as anyone to achieving that.
They’ve won nine games to nil in all competitions (seven in A), with five clinched by a single goal. Meanwhile, all five of their league defeats have been of the 1-0 variety.
The eye test tells you that Roma are the more likely to stay in the battle for longer if necessary. And, since I expect this to be another low-scoring encounter, I like the look of the double chance combined with a BTTS-no bet.
At 13/5, and an implied probability of 27.8%, this understates the Giallorossi’s tendency to do just about enough.

Over 9.5 Corners @ 11/10
There must be something in the water at the Allianz Stadium. Maybe it’s the fervent atmosphere with the stands up close to the pitch.
Whatever it is, corners have arrived in abundance in Juve home games this season. The 11.14 per match (6.57 for Juve, 4.57 against) to this point leads Serie A for home games.
And in what should be a tight tussle between two teams always looking to probe, I can well imagine 10 or more flag-kicks featuring on Saturday.
