Fiorentina vs Pisa Prediction: Moise to make his mark on Monday’s relegation six-pointer

The first of two Serie A games on Monday (17:30 GMT, live on Betfred.com) comes from the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence, where relegation rivals Fiorentina and Pisa face off. La Viola are 18th but can draw level on 24 points with 17th-placed Lecce with a victory over I Nerazzurri (19th), who are looking to halve the six-point deficit between them and their next opponents.
Below are my Fiorentina vs Pisa predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Tariq Lamptey (knee), Albert Gudmundsson (ankle) and Daniele Rugani (calf) could all miss out for Fiorentina due to injury, while Rolando Mandragora is serving a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the league campaign in the 2-1 win at Como on February 14.
The likes of David de Gea, Moise Kean and Dodo, all of whom were left in Florence for their 3-0 Uefa Conference League victory over Jagiellonia in Poland on Thursday, are expected to return to action on Monday.
As for Pisa, Simone Scuffet (muscle), Adrian Semper, Isak Vural (knee) and Daniel Denoon (ankle) could all miss out.
Fiorentina vs Pisa Predicted Lineups
- Fiorentina: De Gea; Dodo, Comuzzo, Ranieri, Gosens; Fagioli, Ndour; Harrison, Brescianini, Solomon; Kean
- Pisa: Nicolas; Canestrelli, Caracciolo, Bozhinov; Toure, Loyola, Aebischer, Angori; Tramoni, Moreo; Stojilkovic
Fiorentina, winless in their last three league games at home (D2, L1), are 4/6 favourites on Monday, implying a 60% probability of success, while Pisa, without a win in their last 14 matches (D6, L8) are 4/1, or a 20% chance, to claim all three points in Florence.
September's reverse fixture finished goalless; you can back a second stalemate of the season between the two teams at 11/4, and another 0-0 draw at 11/1.
Fiorentina vs Pisa Stats
- FIO have picked 15 points from their last 10 league games (PIS - five)
- PIS have scored in four of their last five away matches
- Kean (FIO) has scored in back-to-back league games
Match Result & Both Teams to Score - Fiorentina & Yes @ 9/4
Fiorentina are at home, have a better starting XI and squad, and are in better form, picking up five more points than Pisa over the last five league games, and 10 more over the last 10.
So, I'm happy to back a victory for La Viola on Monday, but I do think the visitors will make them work for the three points.
Pisa have been horrific on home soil this season, with no other side collecting fewer points at their own ground than I Nerazzurri (seven from 13 games).
However, while they are yet to triumph on their travels, they've picked up one more point away from home, in one fewer match, drawing eight and losing four of their 12.
Oscar Hiljemark's side have scored 16 away goals, which is the eighth-highest total in Serie A at the time of writing.
Pisa's only away defeat in the last five was a 6-2 hammering at leaders Inter Milan, and with little to lose now, as relegation is seen to be a formality, they can 'go at' the hosts, to a degree, on Monday.
Ultimately, though, I expect Fiorentina's class to shine through, and after back-to-back wins, the first in Serie A and the second in the Conference League, Paolo Vanoli's side should be in a confident mood.

Anytime Goalscorer - Moise Kean (FIO) @ 1/1
Fiorentina forward Kean, like the rest of his teammates, has failed to produce the consistency he showed last season when he struck 19 times in 32 Serie A appearances.
The 25-year-old has scored just seven times in 22 league games this term, but two of those have come this month, with an effort in a 2-2 home draw with Torino on February 7 followed by a successful penalty kick in the 2-1 win at Como.
After being left in Florence for La Viola's trip to Poland in midweek, the Italy international should be well rested, and he'll fancy his chances of breaching a Pisa defence that has shipped 18 goals in eight games this calendar year.
