Hopes are high for some entertainment in Serie A's Friday night fixture this week (19:45 GMT, live on Betfred), coming from the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, where Como host Sassuolo. Both sides were in action on Monday, with Como thrashing Torino 5-1 in their own backyard, before Sassuolo shared four goals with Pisa in a 2-2 home draw.

Below are my Como vs Sassuolo predictions, accompanied by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Assane Diao (muscle), Sergi Roberto (thigh) and Edoardo Goldaniga (heel) are still sidelined for Como, while Ivan Smolcic will serve a one-game suspension for an accumulation of yellow cards. Stefan Posch or Mergim Vojvoda should fill in for Smolcic at right-back.

Football Odds

Sassuolo's treatment room is currently housing the talents of Yeferson Paz (hip), Edoardo Pieragnolo (knee), Filippo Romagna (calf) and Laurs Skjellerup (unspecified).

Daniel Boloca (knee), Stefano Turati (arm) and Aster Vranckx (unspecified) could also miss out on the trip to Como.

Como vs Sassuolo Predicted Lineups

  • Como: Butez; Posch, Ramon, Diego Carlos, Valle; Perrone, Da Cunha; Addai, Paz, Rodriguez; Morata
  • Sassuolo: Muric; Walukiewicz, Idzes, Muharemovic, Doig; Thorstvedt, Matic, Kone; Berardi, Pinamonti, Lauriente

Como vs Sassuolo Odds

Como are 4/6 to triumph on Friday, implying a 60% probability of success, Sassuolo are 9/2, or an 18.2% chance, and the draw is priced at 11/4.

Como vs Sassuolo Stats

  • COM have only lost once in Serie A this season (W5, D6)
  • SAS have scored in their last four games
  • Addai (COM) bagged a brace in Monday's 5-1 win
  • Berardi (SAS) has four goals in 10 Serie A apps this term (scored twice in last away match)

Match Result & Both Teams to Score - Como & Yes @ 13/5

After finishing 10th last season, Como look ready to kick on again in 2025/26.

Cesc Fabregas' side are sixth after 12 rounds of fixtures, just six points behind leaders AS Roma, and they are one of just two teams, alongside AC Milan, not to have lost multiple games (both one).

Draws have been an issue for I Lariani, with only Atalanta and Pisa (both seven) recording more stalemates than their tally of six, but Monday's annihilation of Torino was a statement of intent.

Sassuolo, meanwhile, have made a solid start back to life in the top flight following their promotion from Serie B earlier this year.

I Neroverdi are ninth, just four points behind their next opponents, who, like them, have won five of their 12 games.

Fabio Grosso's side have been particularly impressive on their travels, picking up 10 points from 18 available; only Roma (15), Milan (12) and Bologna (11), the latter having played a match more, have accrued more away points than Sassuolo.

Today's Football Fixtures

Last season's runaway Serie B champions are unbeaten in their last four away games, winning three of them, including the last two, with the most recent a 3-0 success at Atalanta on November 9. Their last defeat on the road actually came at the Sinigaglia, back on September 24, as they fell to a 3-0 loss against Como in the Coppa Italia round of 32.

Como are unbeaten at home in eight matches this season, winning three of their six in the league (D3), with Lazio (2-0) and Juventus (2-0) both bested there in 2025/26. It's against some of the so-called 'smaller' sides they have struggled, failing to beat Genoa (1-1), Cremonese (1-1) and Cagliari (0-0), all sides currently in the bottom half of the table, at home.

So, can Sassuolo, a newly-promoted team sitting in mid-table, pose similar problems for Fabregas & Co. on Friday?

Certainly, I think the visitors can get on the scoresheet. They've struck in their last four games, netting five times across their last two away from home, and they were fielding a second-string side in their September cup defeat at Como, so I'm not focusing too much on that result.

Como have kept four clean sheets in Serie A this season, but like Sassuolo, BTTS-Yes has been a winning selection in 50% (six) of their 12 league games.

Ultimately, though, I expect Como's confidence and class to shine through in what should be an entertaining encounter on Friday night.

Bet Builder - Jayden Addai (COM) & Domenico Berardi (SAS) Anytime Goalscorers @ 9/1

Como winger Jayden Addai, who joined the club from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar during the summer, scored his first Serie A goal on his second appearance as I Lariani drew 1-1 with Genoa on September 15, but the 19-year-old properly announced himself to the league earlier this week.

Addai bagged a brace in Monday's hammering of Torino, putting his side ahead twice, and his two goals came six days after he opened the scoring for the Netherlands U21s in their 3-1 defeat to Israel.

He'll fancy his chances of adding to his season tally on Friday against a side that has kept just one clean sheet in their last five games, conceding twice in two of their last three.

As I'm also backing Sassuolo to score, I'll add in a goal for their talisman, Domenico Berardi, who has struck four times in 10 Serie A appearances this term.

The 31-year-old scored in back-to-back games against Genoa and Atalanta, notching once in a 2-1 home defeat to the former and bagging a brace in a 3-0 away win at the latter. He was also on target in a 3-2 defeat at Cremonese on August 29, with 75% of his goals coming away from home.
