Cagliari vs Lecce Prediction: Three home wins in a row for Gli Isolani

A 2-1 victory over Udinese last time out in Serie A saw Lecce move three points clear of the relegation zone, but 18th-placed Fiorentina are now level with I Giallorossi following Saturday’s 2-1 win at Como.
Eusebio Di Francesco’s side will look to re-establish their lead over La Viola on Monday (19:45 GMT, live on Betfred.com) when they head to Unipol Domus to take on Cagliari, who are 13th, seven points better off than their next opponents. Read on for my Cagliari vs Lecce predictions, alongside team news and match odds.

Team News
Andrea Belotti, Mattia Felici, Michael Folorunsho (all knee), Alessandro Deiola (unspecified) and Gennaro Borrelli (thigh) are set to miss out on Monday for Cagliari, but head coach Fabio Pisacana could welcome back Colombian defender Yerry Mina after he sat out the 2-0 defeat at AS Roma on February 9.
As for Lecce, their matchwinner against Udinese and three-goal leading marksman, Lameck Banda, is suspended after receiving his fifth yellow card of the campaign, while Matias Perez (muscle), Medon Berisha and Francesco Camarda (both unspecified) are sidelined due to injury.

- Lecce: Falcone; Veiga, Gabriel, Gaspar, Gallo; Coulibaly, Ramadani; Pierotti, Gandelman, Sottil; Cheddira
Cagliari are 13/10 favourites to claim all three points on Monday, implying a 43.5% probability of success, while Lecce are 12/5, or a 29.4% chance, with the draw offered at 2/1.

Cagliari vs Lecce Stats
- CAG have kept a clean sheet in all four of their league wins at home this season
- LEC have scored the fewest away goals (six)
- Seven red cards have been issued across the last eight H2Hs
To Win to Nil - Cagliari @ 11/5
Cagliari have been solid, if unspectacular, at home this season, winning four, drawing three and losing four of their 11 league games at Unipol Domus.
Gli Isolani have played there three times this calendar year, losing 1-0 to Scudetto hopefuls AC Milan before beating Juventus 1-0 and Hellas Verona 4-0.
Cagliari have kept a clean sheet in all four league wins at home this season, and on Monday, they host a side, Lecce, who have scored the fewest away goals (six) in the 2025/26 Serie A campaign.
Lecce have lost seven of their 11 away games (W2, D2), failing to score in six, including five of their last six. Their last three, meanwhile, have all ended in a 1-0 defeat.
Cagliari won the reverse fixture 2-1 in September, and in last season’s corresponding fixture in January 2025, they eventually coasted to a 4-1 success after coming from a goal behind.
Prior to their win last time out, Lecce had gone four consecutive matches without a goal, and Cagliari will fancy their chances of shutting them out on Monday.

Red Card Yes/No - Yes @ 5/1
Over 37.5 booking points looks like a solid bet at 5/6, but given the head-to-head history, it may be worth backing the referee to produce a red on Monday.
Without success, I tipped a Lecce red card in the reverse fixture at 10/1, with the three previous meetings all seeing a player dismissed, two for I Giallorossi and one for Gli Isolani, while there had been seven across the last seven heading into September’s showdown.
No reds were issued there, but five yellows were awarded, and the two teams recorded 29 fouls between them (Lecce - 10, Cagliari - 19).
Now we’re reaching a more crucial stage of the season, I wouldn’t be surprised to see even more tension between the two clubs on Monday.
While Cagliari are yet to see one of their players sent off by a ref in Serie A this season, three of their last six opponents at home have had someone dismissed.
Lecce, meanwhile, have had two reds brandished in their direction, both in a 2-1 defeat to Parma on January 11.
