AC Milan will be looking to move top of the Serie A standings when they head to Unipol Domus to face Cagliari on Friday evening (19:45).

Cagliari are the 5/1 outsiders to pick up all three points on home soil, with the draw priced at 11/4 and Milan the firm 8/15 favourites.

It is 1/1 for both teams to score, 8/11 for the No, while a repeat of the 1-1 draw in January 2025 is available at 7/1.

Team News

Cagliari remain without Michael Folorunsho, who is facing four weeks out of action because of a knee issue.

The 27-year-old Italian adds to an injury list that includes Andrea Belotti and Mattia Felici, who are both out for the season with ACL tears.

Milan are set to be boosted by the return of Rafael Leao, who has returned to group training after missing the last three games with an adductor injury.

The Portugal international is expected to be named on the bench, alongside expected new signing Niclas Fullkrug, whose loan deal from West Ham is set to be announced when the January transfer window opens.

Matteo Gabbia's availability is uncertain as he continues to train separately from the main group and he will need to be assessed.

Santiago Gimenez remains sidelined with an ankle problem and is not due back until February.

Despite second-placed Milan lying a comfortable 12 positions and 17 points above Cagliari in the Serie A table, this contest in Sardinia has the potential to be a tricky one.

Fabio Pisacane's hosts are on a three-game unbeaten run at home and they have drawn their last two meetings against Milan, so this won't be an easy task for the visitors.

The Rossoneri are unbeaten in their last 15 Serie A matches and a victory would see them overhaul rivals Inter into first place.

While the three points look likely for Massimiliano Allegri's side, the better play is to go with goals and back there to be at least four strikes in the match.

Two of Cagliari's last three home fixtures have gone over the 3.5-goals mark, while the same can be said in two of Milan's last three away assignments in the league.

It's also worth noting that four of the last five meetings between these two have seen at least four goals, and another entertaining affair is expected.

Christian Pulisic to score anytime @ 5/4

USA international Christian Pulisic has been in impressive scoring form for Milan and his strike in the victory over Verona on Sunday took his tally to 10 for the season.

Four of the 27-year-old's goals have come in his last six appearances and he can continue his solid run against a Cagliari side who have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven fixtures.

Pulisic also has a strong record against the Sardinian outfit, having registered four assists and scored twice in five appearances against them.
