We break from the usual Scottish Premiership action to focus on this weekend’s Scottish Cup. It’s the quarter-finals, and with a place at Hampden on the line, tensions will be running high across the country. The action begins on Saturday at Pittodrie and finishes up on Monday evening at Cappielow in Greenock.

Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse landed a home win accumulator at nice odds recently and narrowly missed another last weekend due to a draw. He now sets his sights on cracking the quarters and offers an away win treble at a decent price as part of his Scottish Weekend Football Betting Tips this weekend...

Scottish Weekend Football Betting Tips

  • Kilmarnock beat Aberdeen @ 15/8
  • Rangers beat Hibs @ 2/5
  • Hearts beat Morton @ 8/11

Kilmarnock beat Aberdeen @ 2/1

We begin our weekend away win treble with the biggest odds of the bunch: Kilmarnock at Aberdeen.

As the pre-match betting odds available at Betfred suggest, Killie faces an uphill struggle at Pittodrie on Saturday from 12:15 p.m., but we’re confident the visitors can take a win back to Rugby Park and book their place in the last four of the Scottish Cup.

Kilmarnock has lost just one of its last five games in the Premiership, while Aberdeen has three defeats and two draws in the same period.

The hosts have lost each of their previous three league games under stand-in manager Neil Warnock, and Killie boss Derek McInnis can heap misery on his former employers. These sides have met three times already this season, with Kilmarnock bagging a trio of wins and an eye-catching 5-0 aggregate.

Rangers beat Hibs @ 2/5

Moving to Sunday evening, Hibs host Rangers at Easter Road from 5.15 pm.

If you read our in-depth preview of this game elsewhere on the Betfred Insights page, you’ll already know we fancy Philippe Clement’s team to edge this grudge match and return to Hampden.

Gers have already won the League Cup, enjoy a great recent record at this venue, sit on top of the Premiership, and have a real chance of landing a domestic treble this term.

Hibs prepare for this game following an improved run of results, winning two and drawing two of their last four games in the Premiership.

The rivals have met twice already this term in the Premiership, with Rangers winning twice, including a memorable 3-0 here back in January. It’s a challenging week for Gers, who played Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday, but they should have enough quality to progress.

Hearts beat Morton @ 8/11

What a game we have in store at Cappielow on Monday evening before the curtain falls on the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

Championship side Greenock Morton plays at home and will be roared on by a packed stadium. Dougie Imrie’s side scalped Premiership regulars Motherwell 2-1 in the previous round and fancy more of the same, but this represents another leap up in class.

Hearts are playing well in the Premiership and beat Celtic at Tynecastle last weekend. They have a real chance of finishing as the best of the rest behind the Old Firm in the league and can book a spot at Hampden if they avoid a slip-up in Greenock.

Expect a close game before Hearts’ class and experience shines through under the bright lights of Monday night football from Scotland.
