It’s Scottish Cup weekend, and the Fourth Round presents some interesting fixtures and eye-catching value. There are five games on the schedule for Saturday, including Rangers' home tie against Ayr United at Ibrox and Hibs' tough trip to the Highlands.

Betfred’s Scottish Football writer, Frank Monkhouse, picks three wins for Saturday from the 3.00 pm starts to create an interesting 5/1 treble…

Scottish Football Accumulator Tips:

  • Back Livingston to beat Partick Thistle @ 5/4
  • Back Hibs to beat Inverness @ Evens
  • Back Kilmarnock to beat Cove Rangers @ 1/3

Livingston beat Partick Thistle @ 5/4

We start in Glasgow, where Championship side Partick Thistle hosts Premier League opponents Livingston. The Jags beat a team from the top tier in the previous round when hammering Ross County 3-0 in Dingwall in a shock result.

Can Kris Doolan’s men repeat the feat and add another Premiership scalp to their belt? They’re third in the Championship and enter unbeaten in four league games following two wins and two draws.

All the pressure is on Livingston here and manager David Martindale. The Lions are rock bottom of the Premiership, having managed just two wins all season, and they look likely to be playing Championship football next term, possibly alongside Thistle.

Despite their woeful league form, Livingston has a point to prove and will feel this game is a chance to leave their Premiership problems at the door and enjoy the distraction of knockout football. They beat Raith Rovers 2-1 last time and have a better chance than their odds suggest.

Hibs beat Inverness @ Evens

Another Championship versus Premiership game, and we’re off to the Caledonian Stadium where big Duncan Ferguson’s Inverness Caledonian Thistle host capital city club Hibernian.

The home team beat Broomhill 4-0 at this venue in the previous round but face a much stiffer test on Saturday afternoon. Caley is seventh in the Championship following a mixed run of results, with Ferguson’s men losing two of their last three and three of their previous five games in the second tier.

Hibs was at home to Celtic on Wednesday evening in an enthralling Premiership clash and came agonisingly close to causing an upset against Brendan Rodgers’ Bhoys.

Celtic needed two penalties to secure the points at Easter Road, both scored by new signing Adam Idah on 10 and 92 minutes, one either side of a stunning equaliser from Dylan Levitt on the hour. Nick Montgomery’s men beat Forfar 1-0 in the previous round and look value to pick up another away win to keep their cup dreams alive.

Kilmarnock beat Cove Rangers @ 1/3

We finish with what looks like the banker of Saturday’s treble, backing Premier League Kilmarnock to end the amazing run of League One side Cove Rangers.

Killie impressed in the previous round when beating fellow Premiership team Dundee 2-0 at this venue with goals from Kyle Vassell and Marley Watkins. They also defeated Livingston 1-0 in the Premiership in East Ayrshire on Wednesday, ensuring they set up with confidence.

Cove Rangers have done well to make it this far, but their recent form in League One does little to inspire confidence in another cup upset. The visitors have drawn two and lost three of their last five starts.

Keep it simple and back the home team from the higher division with the better recent form to boost your Saturday accumulators.
