Airdeie's shock win over St Johnstone was the tough break for last Saturday's acca north of the border.

Scottish football fans though will enjoy a full programme from the Premiership on Saturday with some eye-catching games on the schedule. Betfred’s Frank Monkhouse provides his accumulator picks…

Scottish Football Accumulator Tips:

  • Back Rangers to beat St Mirren @ 2/7
  • Back Hearts to beat Aberdeen @ 23/20
  • Back St Johnstone to beat Motherwell @ 6/4

Leg 1 - Rangers beat to St Mirren @ 2/7

You’ll find an in-depth preview of this Saturday's early afternoon kick-off on the Scottish football section of our site, where I offer two bets at decent odds.

I also fancy Rangers to win in Paisley strongly enough I’m happy for them to open our weekend accumulator. Back Rangers to beat St Mirren in Paisley at 2/7 to get things moving.

Gers bounced back from losing to Celtic in the Old Firm Derby and remain in the running to challenge for the title. This will be their second game of the week following Wednesday’s 3-0 win at Easter Road, but that shouldn’t be a problem after the winter break. Rangers beat St Mirren 2-0 at Ibrox earlier this season, and we should see something similar here.

Leg 2 - Hearts to beat Aberdeen @ 23/20

We move from Paisley to the capital, where Hearts host Aberdeen in what’s sure to be the pick of Saturday’s schedule. The Jambos returned from the winter break sitting third in the table but there’s still work to do to cement that bronze medal finish behind the Old Firm.

Steven Naismith’s men set up with confidence, having won four and drawn one of their last five league starts. The home win looks like a great price.

Aberdeen returned from the break hoping to steady the ship following a rollercoaster first half of the season.

The Dons participated in the Europa Conference League's group stages and also reached the final of the League Cup. But they’re seventh in the Premiership and have won only three of their last five. Back the Jambos to score a sweet home win.

Leg 3 - St Johnstone to beat Motherwell @ 6/4

We wrap up our Saturday Scottish Premiership treble with a bet on St Johnstone to beat Motherwell at McDiarmid Park. The Saints returned from the break without a win in three and one place above the relegation zone, but ex-Scotland manager Craig Levein has the experience to turn things around.

He understands the importance of making home advantage count against teams around them in the league. This will be a big ask, but I fancy St Johnstone to grind out an important win.

Motherwell also resurfaced following the winter break with an important job on their hands. The Steelmen had won only one of five and were dangerously close to the relegation zone.

They have struggled to score goals this season, failing to find the net against Rangers, St Mirren and Ross County. A close game is expected, but we’ll trust home comforts.
