Morton to beat Partick @ 7/5

Welcome to another weekend spent rummaging around the lower leagues of Scottish football while Premiership teams enjoy a well-earned winter break following the carnage of the festive period.

We begin at Cappielow in Greenock, the home of an improving Morton side that finds itself back in the running for a playoff place. The Ton enjoys home advantage and aims to make it count as they target a third win on the bounce.

Followers of the Scottish Championship would’ve found Morton at the bottom of the league not long ago, but the club was in the grip of a severe injury crisis that appears to have passed. Morton has now won three and drawn two of their last five games, taking six points from their previous two.

They’re expected to win at home against Partick Thistle, who travel from Glasgow having won only half of their last four. This promises to be a captivating contest, but we’re confident home advantage and the crowd will make all the difference.

Raith to beat Queens Park @ 4/9

We move to Stark’s Park and table-topping Raith Rovers, who aim to snatch a home win and move a step closer to securing automatic promotion to the Premiership. Raith enters this game with their stats showing 13 wins, five draws, and two defeats, scoring 37 goals and conceding 26. The hosts have 44 points on the board, which is three more than nearest rival Dundee United, despite losing last weekend.

Raith plans to make a quick-fire return to winning ways and protect their position at the top of the table. To achieve that, the home team must better a Queens Park side that’s second from the bottom of the league with just four wins all season, which is the lowest number of victories of any team in the Scottish Championship. The visitors also arrive with the second-worst defence at this level. Follow the form, keep it simple, and back the hosts.

Airdrie to beat Dunfermline @ 7/4

We wrap things up on our Scottish Championship treble with a bet on Airdrie to win on the road against Dunfermline. The Diamonds are the only away win we’ve taken this weekend, and they’ll require a rub of the green against a stubborn opponent, but we think they have what it takes to claim the desired result and nudge themselves towards the promotion playoff places. Airdrie starts this game in fourth, following three wins on the spin.

The home team sunk to sixth in the table following a woeful run of results, with the Pars losing three and drawing two of their last five, collecting just two of the previous 15 points up for grabs.

Dunfermline are on a long winless run while their opponents arrive full of confidence, and we’re sure that will make the difference in what’s likely to be a competitive 90 minutes from the second tier of Scottish football.
