Four home wins make up the acca on Saturday, as Frank Monkhouse aims to boost his already impressive profit tally. Keep reading as he makes the case for the Tangerines, Jambos, Killie, and Saints to record important home wins. You can follow the picks and bet on the Betfred website and app now.

Football Odds

Dundee United beat St Mirren @ 11/8

We open the show at Tannadice, where we’re backing a home win for Dundee United. The locals enter in fifth place and could go level with Aberdeen in fourth with a victory before the Dons head to Ibrox on Sunday.

Dundee United have lost their last two, but still have plenty to play for in the closing stages, unlike their opponents, who are five points behind.

The stats show these teams have met four times already this season in the League Cup and the Premiership. Dundee United enter with a 100% record, claiming three 1-0 wins and a 2-0 cheer. The spare came at this venue late last year, and it’s worth backing Jim Goodwin’s Tangerines to finish the job in style.

Hearts beat Motherwell @ 1/2

Moving to the capital, we trust Hearts to use home advantage to collect three points when Motherwell come knocking. The Jambos missed out on a top-six finish and recently parted company with manager Neil Critchley.

The locals start in eighth place, but did beat Ross County 3-1 on the road last time. Another three points would move them above the visitors into seventh, making the best of a bad situation.

It has been another rollercoaster year for Motherwell, who looked likely to finish in the top six, before they dropped off the pace. The Steelmen arrive at Tynecastle with the confidence that comes from a winning streak.

They beat Dundee 2-1 at Dens Park last weekend, but lost 1-0 when last visiting Tynecastle and another narrow home win is expected.

Scottish Premiership Odds

Kilmarnock beat Dundee @ 4/5

The third pick of four comes from Rugby Park, where we’re trusting Kilmarnock to out-score Dundee with little to play for. Both teams finished in the bottom six, as most pundits expected, with the home team in ninth place and the visitors starting in 10th.

Killie have won both games since the split, beating St Johnstone 2-0 at McDiarmid Park and Ross County by the same scoreline in their previous home game.

While the locals are in a confident mood, the away team travel on the back of a 2-1 home defeat to Motherwell. Interestingly, both teams have scored in each of their last five meetings, and another goal-fest looks likely.

But I’m picking Kilmarnock to edge it, giving their fans a rare reason to celebrate.

St Johnstone beat Ross County @ 13/10

We wrap things up with a bet on a home team that’s been notoriously difficult to predict in recent weeks. St Johnstone are stuck hard to the bottom of the league and know they’ll be playing Championship football next season if they fail to win at home against the Staggies.

The Saints must win all their remaining games, with County losing their last three.

There’s very little between the sides, and both have been poor this term. Depending on what happens in the play-offs, both St Johnstone and Ross County could be in the second tier come summer. I expect a bad-tempered and nervy game, but fancy St Johnstone to throw themselves a lifeline with a home win.
