Rock-bottom Hibernian squandered a chance of a rare Edinburgh derby win at the weekend and next they face a long trip to the Highlands to face Ross County on Wednesday night (19:45 kick-off).

Hibs were just a matter of minutes away from beating arch-rivals Hearts at Easter Road on Sunday, only to see teenager James Wilson bag an 87th-minute equaliser for the Jambos.

The draw means Hibs are still rooted to the bottom of the Premiership table and now a trip to Dingwall and the Global Energy Stadium awaits manager David Gray and his side.

County got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock on Saturday and, with an extra day’s rest, the Staggies should fancy their chances of sending Hibs back to the capital with nothing to show for their efforts.

Starting with Ross County, Everton loanee Elijah Campbell is available for selection once again after serving a suspension.

The Staggies picked up no fresh injuries following their win over Killie last time out.

As for Hibs, they came through their Edinburgh derby stalemate unscathed but Gray does have some selections to consider.

Mykola Kuharevich came off the bench to score the opener against Hearts and is pushing for a starting role, while Joe Newell could be named in the starting line-up after missing Sunday's game due to suspension.
