Roma vs Torino Prediction: Adams to add to I Giallorossi’s woes

AS Roma's rotten season sunk to new depths on Sunday as I Giallorossi were thrashed 5-1 at Fiorentina, making it three games without a win in Serie A. Torino, on the other hand, responded to three straight defeats by beating Como 1-0 last Friday, and they head into Thursday's clash at the Stadio Olimpico (19:45) four points ahead of their hosts.
Read on for my Roma vs Torino prediction, complete with all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of this clash in the Italian capital.

Team News
Roma head coach Ivan Juric could make sweeping changes to his starting XI after Sunday's abomination in Florence. Bryan Cristante and Angelino were hauled off on 32 minutes with La Viola 2-0 up at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and both players must be fearing for their place on Thursday.
Manu Kone and Nicola Zalewski replaced the pair against Fiorentina and are in with a chance of facing Torino from the off in midweek.
Mario Hermoso will definitely have to be replaced in the lineup after being dismissed in the 65th minute on Sunday following two bookable offences.
Mats Hummels, who made an unwelcome debut off the bench at the weekend as he put through his own net just four minutes after his introduction, could make his first start for I Giallorossi, while Tommaso Baldanzi is another potential inclusion in the side.
Stephan El Shaarawy has missed Roma's last three matches due to injury but could return to the squad this week alongside Matias Soule, who missed the trip to Florence. However, it's too soon for the stricken Alexis Saelemaeakers.
Torino captain Duvan Zapata is out for the rest of the season, which should mean Che Adams and Antonio Sanabria continuing their strike partnership.
Il Toro are also without injured trio Perr Schuurs, Borna Sosa and Ivan Ilic.

Roma are 8/11 to end their winless run in Serie A, giving the hosts an implied probability of 57.9%, while Torino are 18/5, or a 21.7% chance, to record back-to-back victories for the second time this season.
The draw is priced at 11/4, both teams to score at 5/6 and over 2.5 total goals at 10/11.
Roma striker Artem Dovbyk (7/5) leads the anytime goalscorer market followed by teammates Paulo Dybala (15/8) and Lorenzo Pellegrini (23/10), while Scotland international Adams (3/1) is shortest priced for the visitors.
Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 5/6
Torino sit joint-third in the Serie A 'both teams to score' table after nine games played, with 67 per cent (six) of their matches ending with at least one goal on either side. Prior to last Friday's 1-0 win over Como, Il Toro's last four contests in the competition had seen both teams score, with a minimum of two goals for each side.
Roma, meanwhile, have seen 56 per cent (five) of their league games finish with a goal for each team, the most recent being Sunday's 5-1 defeat to Fiorentina.
Both teams to score had come in by half-time when Roma and Torino last clashed in Serie A in February when I Giallorossi ran out 3-2 winners at the Stadio Olimpico.
BTTS - Yes was also a winner in the reverse meeting in Turin last September, with Zapata cancelling out Romelu Lukaku's strike for the visitors to seal a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.
Backing both teams to find the net on Thursday seems like a sensible suggestion to me with Roma failing to keep a clean sheet in their last four league contests and shipping five in Florence last weekend. Torino kept a first clean sheet since September 15 last Friday but that was at home to a newly-promoted side, and their only other shutout in the competition was also at home against a side that finished 14th last season.
On the road, Torino have shipped 10 goals in five games - only Venezia (13), Verona (12) and Como (11) have conceded more on their travels, and two of those team - Venezia and Como - have played a match more.
At just under EVS, I think BTTS - Yes is well worth taking in a meeting between two dodgy defences.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Anytime Goalscorer - Che Adams (TOR) @ 3/1
As I'm backing the visitors to find the net in Rome, it makes sense to go to the anytime goalscorer market, where ex-Southampton striker Adams is shortest priced at 3/1.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a good start to life in Serie A, scoring on his first start in the August 2-1 win over Atalanta before embarking on a three-game scoring run at the end of September, when he struck against Hellas Verona and Lazio either side of an effort in the Coppa Italia at home to Empoli.
Adams has failed to score in two appearances since returning from the international break, but he will be encouraged by the fact that he has stayed on the pitch for the duration of both.
With Zapata out injured, the onus is on Adams and Sanabria to step up, and both players will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing a Roma defence that shipped five goals on Sunday.
I think Adams is worth taking on here at 3/1.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
