The final instalment from Serie A on matchday 26 comes from the Italian capital as Roma welcome Monza on Monday evening (20:00).

Roma are just inside the top 10 and have made fine strides since Claudio Ranieri was called in to rescue them.

They'll still be harbouring hopes of pushing for the European places and will want to take maximum points from basement boys Monza with that aspiration in mind. Below you can find my Roma vs Monza predictions.

Roma vs Monza Betting Tips

  • Roma to win & both teams to score @ 11/5
  • Paulo Dybala to score first @ 4/1

Team news

Roma have climbed into the top half after a fine run of form since Ranieri became their third manager of the season.

Artem Dovbyk is the only fitness worry for the experienced boss here, with Eldor Shomurodov likely to earn a third successive start in Ranieri's front three if the Ukrainian fails to recover.

Armando Izzo's latest booking against Lecce has earned the defender a suspension for Monza.

Matteo Pessina and Stefano Sensi remain out for the visitors, while Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro, Luca Caldirola, Stefan Lekovic and Gianluca Caprari are all doubts for manager Alessandro Nesta.

Roma vs Monza Odds

Roma are strong favourites at 3/10 and have won four and drawn one of their last five at home in Serie A.

Monza have picked up just one win on the road in 12 attempts and are priced at 10/1 to double that tally, while the draw is a 4/1 chance.

Over 3.5 goals has landed in three of Roma's last five Serie A outings at home and is priced at 7/4, while both teams to score has failed in three of Monza's last four games and a similar outcome is 4/6 here.

Roma to win & both teams to score @ 11/5

Roma's revival since Ranieri came out of retirement has gathered pace.

They are now in the midst of a run of nine Serie A games unbeaten and have taken 13 points from the last 15 available at their Stadio Olimpico home, averaging three goals per game in that sequence.

They are justifiably a short price to pick up three points against Serie A's bottom side, but Roma have conceded in three of those five home games.

Monza for their part have lost their last five on the road but they have found the net in four of those outings.

Both teams have netted in three of the last four league meetings between these clubs and that trend can continue, though Roma should have the firepower to get the win.

Paulo Dybala to score first @ 4/1

Paulo Dybala now has 31 goals in 73 appearances for Roma since ending his seven-year stint at Juventus with a move to the Italian capital.

The 31-year-old Argentina international added to his tally with a Europa League brace in the come-from-behind 3-2 win over Porto on Thursday.

His first saw him playing a neat one-two before ghosting into the box and applying the most sumptuous of finishes on his left foot and he soon doubled up, curling home again from inside the box to turn the game on its head after a defensive lapse had put his side behind in the tie.

Dybala has netted three goals in two Serie A appearances against Monza, including the opener when these teams met here in the 2022/23 campaign and he could be the man to break the deadlock again given his current form.
