Roma vs Dynamo Kyiv Prediction: Dovbyk can find the net in Rome

Two teams without a win in this season’s Uefa Europa League meet on Thursday night as Roma host Dynamo Kyiv in the Italian capital. Kick-off in this one is at 17:45 and with Ivan Juric coming under some pressure, this one simply has to end in a win for I Giallorossi.
They sit 10th in the league and there is now talk of club legend Daniele De Rossi returning to the job he left just a month ago to replace the Croatian, although that would be a shock to say the least. Below you can find my Roma vs Dynamo Kyiv prediction, featuring team news and betting tips.
Team News
Juric is likely to rotate his squad heavily for this game, with a tough test against Fiorentina to come at the weekend. However, he can’t afford to take his foot off the pedal in the search for results. Stephan El Shaarawy is out with a calf issue and Alexis Saelemaekers is also sidelined with an ankle problem, but the rest of the squad is fully-fit.
Enzo Le Fee came off the bench against Inter after his tendon problem so he is in contention to start, with Mats Hummels still awaiting the chance to make his debut at the heart of the defence. I’d expect the former Borussia Dortmund star to feature here, with Matias Soule a probable replacement for Paulo Dybala, who may be rested.
Dynamo meanwhile are without the suspended Maksym Bragaru, after he was sent off against Lazio in the first gameweek of the Europa League. Oleksandr Pikhalionok and Brayan Ceballos are also still sidelined and with Andriy Yarmolenko unlikely to be fit for this one, Nazar Voloshyn should play on the right-hand side of the attack.
Roma are priced at 4/9 to win this game, giving them a win probability of 69%, with Dynamo Kyiv available at 6/1. A draw can be backed at 100/30, over 2.5 goals is 4/6 and BTTS is 4/5. Artem Dovbyk is the favourite to open the scoring at 4/1.
Under 2.5 goals @ 11/10
I think these are two poor teams in terms of the standard for the Europa League, and neither attack fills me with confidence. I’d probably lean towards the home side to win this one but the odds aren’t appealing in the slightest given their turgid form.
However, I will choose to back under 2.5 goals on this occasion. Roma failed to score against Inter last time out and four of their last five outings, including both Europa League ties, have finished with fewer than 2.5 goals. Juric appears to be attempting to solidify the defence before building an exciting attacking team, while Dynamo Kyiv have failed to score in this competition so far.

Artem Dovbyk to score anytime @ 6/5
I’m a massive fan of Artem Dovbyk and he is the man to lead the line for Roma this term. He’s experienced, powerful and has an eye for goal so I think it makes sense to back him to find the net on Thursday night. The Ukrainian has scored four goals in 10 matches in all competitions so far this season, but his recent form looks a lot better.
He’s hit the net three times in his last five league outings, and should continue to lead the line, given when he was rested Roma lost 1-0 to Elfsborg. I think this is decent value for Dovbyk to score anytime, especially when we consider the frailty of this Dynamo defence in Europe.
